'The Masterplan' has an incorrect date assosiated with it on the bundle list, of May 7th.
It should be May 12.

Going by the date of May 7th, https://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/price?plain=masterplan was only 66% off in humblestore at that time.
Definately NOT 95% off.

And the only true bundle it was in (humble monthly don't count) was the very recent groupees, which started on May 12.

Why was 'The Masterplan' added to bundlelist with a May 7th date?

I think it was leaked that it would be in the groupees. So the leaked date is used.

I thought they do that a day early, they did it 5 freaking days?

Bundle dates are set from the time the game is known to be in a bundle, not from the release date. This helps limit people from setting giveaways early and then giving the bundle keys.

The fact that a monthly game was going to be in the bundle was known very early on, but afaik, Masterplan wasn't known to most anyone until the actual launch.

That suggests a price glitch or the like.
It got to 92% off in Russia 3 months ago, but that's the only thing I can find on the matter.
So.. no telling.
If you think it's a misfile, put in an 'Add Game to List' ticket and ask support about it.

Of course, it's possibly the policy was misrepresented or changed, and that games are now all automatically bundled from the announcement date of the bundle.
That's definitely something worth getting clarification from staff on.

Quite a few people tried to exploit the upcoming bundle before it was "official." Disappointing, but not wholly unexpected.

Sigh. I was hoping I was mistaken in my impressions on that.

Anyway, so I take it by your reference that Masterplan did get leaked somewhere, then?
I definitely didn't see even vague mention of it in Groupees chat or the like. :/

(Or did people, like, put up gib entries for every potential monthly game? o.O;;)

Yes, some people like to flood SG with giveaways before bundles are officially announced so that they can get "full CV" for a game they are about to buy at 90% off. It is because some people try to "work the system" that others who are just minding their own business end up suffering. When restrictions and preventive measures are put in place, they apply to all, not just to the mischievous.

I find it a little humorous how moot that is. Ever since some of the site stats are public, it is available to see that the number of giveaways over level 2 restrictions are so rare that playing the system for CV is pretty much pointless. The "good stuff"—even if it exists—is hidden behind other walls.

What people will do for imaginary points.... The more you understand, the more you realize the absurdity of it.

I saw no exploiters... even so, if there was, did anyone giveaway hundreds/thousands of the game?
Thats like saying 3 copies where stolen, lets punish everyone.
And I did some research, and found no dates of masterplan being mentioned before May 11. At all.

There have been cases where people were giving away 10 copies or so of games that were revealed to be in upcoming Groupees bundles. Blame the exploiters for ruining it for upstanding members of the community like yourself, not Support. Not that you were blaming Support ... I'm just saying.

Glad to see Support has clamped down on that practice. Too many people creating mysteriously timely giveaways for 5-10 copies of a game that gets bundled via Groupees just days later.

I agree completely.
Not actual sale date, but 'known date' for a discount. :D

it was announced, then we could preorder the bundle, then they finally revealed the games, so yes ~5 days and it was leaked
you can even check the date of rachel's thread: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/1jVO2/groupees-be-mine-25-bundle-1-region-locked-game-mystery-game-revealed-live

May 7th is the day the bundle was announced, but The Masterplan being featured wasn't known until later, hence the OP mentioning May 12th rather than May 7th.

Whether it was leaked in other circles, I cannot say, but that piece of information certainly wasn't public domain on May 7th.

The first mention of the possiblity that a game from the first 3 humble monthly's may appear in the bundle, and the date for that was May 11th, still not may 7th.

Well, the source is Groupees chat and since we cannot check that, this is the earliest source I could find saying about miller's wishlist and game previously from HB monthly is indeed morning 11th may: https://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/comments/4irchc/groupees_be_mine_25_preorder_3_for_6_games/d30y9t8
Anyway, I don't know when the bundle actually revealed the games, but for sure you couldn't preorder it when this information appeared - you are right tho, 7th may is a few days too soon tho.

PS: Glad that you got the full CV.

Well I was unaware, this sucks. $2 down the drain.

This implies you got a $20 game for 90% off, wouldn't that fact put it in the bundled list?

its 95% off for indiviual games for it to be considered for bundlelist.

for bundles, it appears they have the entire bundle as 1 game, and add up all the games costs, if the bundle is 95% off of that total, all games go on bundlelist, which technically is wrong for this site, as it should be 95% off, regardless of where its from.

Shobo (the person in charge of the bundled list) explained to me his method for adding games, and it is different from what you describe. For simplicity's sake, consider any game whose individual price is discounted by 90% or more as "bundle fodder."

Is he forgetting regional prices?
cause i've been told dozens of times, its 95% off "USA PRICE" for a game to be added to bundlelist. (so yes, a game that is 80% off in usa steamstore, could in fact be 95% off "USA PRICE" for russians.)

For clarity to cbones109 and your self, it was NOT 90% off + regionally priced.
That was not from steamstore, I bought a humble monthly leftover, which doesn't count anyways.
edit: and on the 7th, it wasn't even on sale in steamstore, ONLY in humblestore, which dosen't have regional prices, so 66% =/= 95%.

A plugin for "SG game tags", has bundlelist regardless if it was a giveaway before bundlelist.
So the plugin confused me about me getting full cv :P

Did the preorder start May 7th?
If it was leaked, I don't know, but usually games get on the bundle list when they are confirmed to be in a bundle or when the bundle starts. I think this is also valid for "blind" preorders from Groupees.

Games from HB Monthly, do they get bundled retroactively? They are also blind preorders.

The preorder didn't not start on the 7th, I think it started on the 12th (maybe 11th).

The leak, if it did happen, I only see the 11th earliest known posting, which only stated a game from the earlier humble monthlys would be in the bundle.
