Hi guys. I recently tryed to redeem couple of unredeemed gift links I got via Humble bunlde. So I clicked on the gift link and got this message:

"Link Disabled

You have clicked on a disabled link. "

Those links are since 2018 but never redeemed them. Does anybody have a clue what might happened?

Isnt it better to make a support ticket on humble?

Maybe they think you are a trader and disabled all links, or is it just the old one?

Keys should always be redeemed as soon as possible on sites like that.

I redeemed tons of unredeemed gift links. All links that came from 2019 and 2020 worked fine. Only the 2018 ones didnt work. So i wonder if HB made some changes about the year the links are valid.I dont know

What are they? Maybe they were those free games where the game links expire?

Nah. They are not freebies. Just games from previous payed bundles

I recently tried to redeem a couple of unredeemed gift links I got via Humble bundle

So, you are trying to use giftlinks you got from another user

Link Disabled

You have clicked on a disabled link.

Two possibilities: (1) User who sent you these links removed them with little help from support (2) User was banned for "trading".

You are probably right. But there is a long time sinse I got those so I cant remember where I got em from. There are 6 gift links that have problem . All on different time of the year 2018. I dont think its possible to got em from the same guy....or from 6 different guys who all got banned. Its a logical explaination though what you wrote.

First time I heard of gift links being 'disabled'. But I guess this is the other side of the equation - as buszmen said, mostly like the originating accounts were disabled for trading.

Where are you clicking exactly? I had some unredeemed gifts too and when I clicked on the link from the order resender email I also got the "link disabled" message, so I copied and pasted the link in the browser instead of clicking and it worked.
Humble did something wierd with the gift links, in fact, if you click on their "order resender" option in their website, they won't send you your gifts anymore.

Where did you find the link so you can copy-paste it? Also I had an email resender earlier this year and got all those disabled links removed from the list. Now they seem that they dont send the "order resender" mail anymore

I got them from an old order resender email. You have to copy and paste the text in blue (https://www.humblebundle.com/?key=) not click on it.

I cant see such links. I only can click on an Icon that says " get the game". And it reffers to a huge link which states after clicking " "link disabled" . I could probably see the links if they where in the "order resender" but they disappeared

My bad then, either you have a posterior order resender email or you'll have to contact humble...

Edit again: I just checked and there is no trace of those gifts from that period in an order resender email. I checked with one that I had from December 2018 and I don't have there the links for gifts received in the previous months.

How do you know they're from 2018? How did you keep track of them?

There was a period from July 2018 to November 2018 where the gift link email doesn't send the usual https://www.humblebundle.com/?key=... but in the format https://url<number>.humblebundle.com/wf/click?....

If you request for order resender back then then all the gifts are still accessible (but you have to copy the text instead of clicking on the link for affected gifts).

If you didn't request order resender, I guess you have to contact HB Support about it, as the current resender doesn't work properly

They're not stuff he bought from HB directly, it looks like he received them in trades.

Gift links claimed with your email used to appear in the order resender email.

If you read the discussion, he never says anything about email, but that the links were received in trades.
Why he wouldn't claim them is his own fault, but whatever.

Nah.You will be able to grab your old games only if you have requested Order Resender and games were in the mail they sent to you. Otherwise you cant do anything about it. Maybe support can help you but I dont know for sure.

Any update on this? I've found a few old links in my email like this too and they don't show up on the order resender email.

Humble seems to have set a maybe 1-2 month time limit before disabling gift links from a friend's experience, so I would say be sure to grab your keys asap.

The problem here is that the gift link was claimed, and HB sent an email, but the email didn't contains the usual direct link to the gift but some sort of temporary link that gets disabled after some time.

Yes, even the email ones is what I'm saying. Gifts don't get added to your "keys and entitlements" page so once it's inaccessible, that's too bad - so grab the keys asap, just a friendly reminder to anyone reading.

If anybody is still having this issue, the games should be on your humble bundle account under the "Keys & Entitlements" tab.
