Yeah, it looks great, but I have to admit, its gameplay is raher boring and the controls are driving me insane, since they seem to work only randomly. Instead of enjoying my time with it as I did in the beginning when it was a rather calm experience, it has become rage inducing due to me not being able to progress, simply because I can't seem to find the sweet spot for when or where to hit that damn jump button. I stopped playing the game because of that. What a shame. Can't handle the rage tho when all I wanna have is a good time :(

Well I want to finish Stories: The Path of Destinies first. I noted it down as non theme, since the only playable character is male though it has a female bad guy/love interest of the playable char.

Zenobia is a good kitten. Except that one ending where she would throw you off flying ship and other ending where she was consumed by darkness and became a homicidal kitty. So mostly a good cat.

Okay let me rephrase that, Zenobia, adopted daughter of the bad guy, who only sometimes wants to kill the main charater (well in my playthroughs so far she either killed me or trapped me so I could get killed and once she killed the guy that killed me and cried over my dead body). But mostly she tries to be not too awful, I just didn't listen too much to what she is saying, since I want to play through all the stories ;)

Yep and alot of them are expensive. But this is the smallest I've had it since I started adding things to my wishlist almost a year ago. Unfortunately, I got myself stuck in Fahrenheit (the part where you'll have to battle some supernatural wind) and I can't seem to proceed to the next part of the story. When I played Fahrenheit first time many years ago I found it really hard and this particular part I didn't made, my soulmate had to do it for me. XD As I played it now I made it on my own and believe me I was surprised. ;)
Take some break and try later, maybe you just need some calmness - it is in these rush part very important. ;)

The weird thing is I thought I did everything right - you know, I tap the keys according to the "tempo" the game sets (Dodging furniture isn't really the hard part) but for some reason, I still got Lucas killed... gah...

If I remember it right the problem was with "struggle part" - when you need to push the A - D quickly to gather your stamina up (like when saving the drowning kid), I think that was where I have failed before. When you do this section do you do it by one hand? I have to use them both - left for A and right for D, then I was able to surpass it.

Sooo, True Lover's Knot suffers from a bug which causes the game to crash at the end and to not give the achievement, I should have all of them, just waiting for the dev to debug the whole thing.
Same problem with Faerie Solitaire which suffers from a bug that wasn't corrected yet.

Second of all: welcome! :) Anyone is welcome to join in the challenge and anyone who has completed it is welcome to the group, so feel free to request to join here and I will approve it when I see it. You will also be added to the leaderboard on the weekend when I have more time :)
As for the games they are all eligible but I would note that Lara Croft and Epistory technically wouldn't count as beaten since from the achievements it seems like there is more main story content left to do (beaten = the whole many story completed; completed = 100% all achievements, if it doesn't have any then completing the available content in the game is fine; in progress = everything else that has been started)

Finally finished Darksiders Warmastered Edition.(Damn you plans for the future).

You can play as stennis in the game, and with the many female protagonists in the game I guessed you could also play as them.
unless you count mods as part of the game, then you can play as a female.

I think it is about game not game + mods as with mods you could play anything in any game.
Also to play as Stennis you need mods too.
In Witcher 1 and 2 you play as Geralt and In Witcher 3 you can play as Geralt plus there are a few places when you play as Ciri so Wither 3 would count I think.

Depends how you see it and how you want to put it. Typically beaten is finishing the game while completed is 100% though. However again everyone see's it differently, I just put finished myself since I don't think mouse cares that much about what you put down as long as you put down something meaning done

April is a great month to continue my gaming journey! DOW III was greater than I expected, I felt the game was rushed and the final battle wasn't epic enough, but there are some humorous moments. I enjoyed Girls like robots too, sadly girls don't like nerds in game which is really realistic. ;_;

As for Linux from a Linux only user as well: give Proton a try, it works more or less fine for most games and it doesn't require any effort to set up other than enabling it in the Steam settings :) and ofc if you can't get something running at all I won't count that game against you and count it as "played" :)

Yeah that's true. although I must admit that I got most info from missiloon and not by paying attention to your thread, oops. That is completely my fault.
I do know about Proton, yes. But the couple times I've tried it out with a game which hasn't a "Runs on this computer via Steam play" message I only managed to get it to crash without any useful error message.
Might as well try it out right now with Monkeys & Dragons (which I won 4 months ago), as I've been wanting to play that one but realized later that I doesn't have a native Linux build and nothing on protondb either. It has a female protagonist as well so it would count if I was allowed to officially participate :)

I must say I got quite lucky so far when it comes to Proton, about 75% of the games I tried worked fine and even then some of the 25% did actually work but I just didn't want to deal with some of the issues (couldn't play in fullscreen, had issues when tabbing out and similar).
Hope it will work for you if you try! And I would be more than happy to accept it as an entry to join the even if it does or any of the other working wins for that matter :) (Trine also counts under theme, as for the other ones if they don't fit in any way you can always beat 2 of them and they will basically count as 1 theme beaten game)

Just tried to run M&D, but all I managed to get was a
"Unhandled Exception:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at Game.MonkeysAndDragons.Render ()"...
Tried 3 different versions but no luck, and similar results as my previous attempts at Proton.
Think I won't ever be able to properly participate in this event because even if I beat Cursed Castilla, Half-Life 2 & Trine there is no way I'll be able to ever "beat" Gun Monkeys (super dead MP game, store page gone as well) and Eldevin (dead MMORPG which'll take atleast a couple 100hours to somewhat complete)
It's fine though, I'll just keep an eye on your threads for the new theme each month and participate by myself haha. Thanks for running this event.

Well if its impossible to play Gun Monkeys that can be counted as "played", as for Eldevin that is just DLC, I wouldn't count it as an unplayed game + you don't actually have to beat any of the SG es, as long as you give all of them them a try is enough to be able to play normal library games.

The reason I say beat is because once I start a game I do actually have to beat it, preferable 100% achievements, but I can't just try out a game for a bit and then put it away again haha. That's why I'm pretty selective with what I play, and join for winning on SG, these days.
After the disappointment of M&D yesterday though I decided to give Cursed Castilla a go via Proton and actually it runs really smooth. Managed to beat the game twice already. Once with the bad ending and once with a "not bad but not the good one either" ending. Figured it wouldn't have many problems because I've played that game loads already on my Raspberry Pi [RetroPie].
Would that mean I'd be able to join for this month?

If you can give any (half assed is enough) reason why it can fit under "Funny / Joke / Humorous games" or "Games with female protagonist/antagonist" (I never played the game, so I know 0 about it and therefore can't judge if it can fit or not) you have successfully "beaten" the event for this month and you qualify both for the giveaway and to join the group, otherwise I am afraid you will need to beat 1 more as per rules :(

Well the "final" boss of the bad ending is a Snake Lady called Moura . Story goes she was sitting by the river combing her hair when she was suddenly surrounded by snakes. It's not clear what happened then but she's never been the same since, she now devotes her time studying spells and dark magic.
You go through the game collecting 5 of her tears to open up the passage to the actual final final boss.
I do appreciate the giveaway but I really just want to participate because it's fun and to get my name on that leaderboard you posted above all hehe ^^
BTW I also started playing through Half-Life so I can soon get to my win of Half-Life 2: Episode 1 (got to play them in the right order obviously) but I got this horrible motions sickness because of that game so it's going to take a little bit to finish because I now have to play in 10-15 minute sessions.

Okey this might be a personal favorite but how about digital board games? (it might be harder how to decide when you have beaten such games, but that's a thing to think about).
In the months after June people go on Holidays and what to better take with you for enjoyment during your Holidays than Board Games. So try to find Board Games you like so you can be on time to hunt down psychical copies :P

Oh, that is a great idea! If I may add to it a little so people would have higher chances to have something fitting the theme if you agree: I would also add some simple puzzle/memory/paper games like sudoku, crosswords, world searches,... because I don't know if anyone else does this but we always got a bunch of those to take with us on holidays :)

Yeah, it looks great, but I have to admit, its gameplay is raher boring and the controls are driving me insane, since they seem to work only randomly. Instead of enjoying my time with it as I did in the beginning when it was a rather calm experience, it has become rage inducing due to me not being able to progress, simply because I can't seem to find the sweet spot for when or where to hit that damn jump button. I stopped playing the game because of that. What a shame. Can't handle the rage tho when all I wanna have is a good time :(

I no joke literally just finished it. I only finished it now because had technical issues because I could not get it working in any way on Linux so I borrowed a Windows PC and finished it. I actually absolutely loved it even if the puzzles were pretty simple and straight forward, but I didn't mind that too much because the art and sound effect were spot on. I did not however had any problems with the controls at all so I can imagine I would not enjoy it anywhere as much if there would be problems. Shame you had issues with it :/ Hope Forgotten Anne will be better! :)

The May theme will be tough for me as I have found a long list of fitting Sci-Fi / Space games but I'm really bad at these games :D Therefore I have to choose wisely which of them I should give a try. Here, I played now this Cinderella Escape 2 Revenge, with 14/22 challenges achieved, and having finish the game in Normal.

...But, I feel a bit lazy about completing it fully however, as the gameplay tend to be pretty boring ( Cute little story, anyway, despite some dubious BDSM thematics. )
I also discover Aquaria in my steamgifts backlog, where the protagonist is a mermaid.
