IMHO, giving away a not so good game and requiring wishlist another game is perfectly an advertisement. I'm standing with the mods.
The system is flawed, I agree. Is the link offending enough to require immediate removal? I think not. Were rule breakers suspended ASAP? I'm happy with that.

The mods aren't wrong.
The free crap games that get advertised with "do 237825 task to get it" are created, in nearly all cases, from shady devs and distributed on shady sites.
No one should support such devs with wishlisting their, other, games etc..
It only bring the result that more of such trash games appear on steam (and on sg) because the trash devs earn (enough) money with this trash games.
That only super mods can delete comments is a flaw in the system but good luck that cg invest some work to change it (I have absolute no hope that this happens).

I never wanted the mod role.
Not with cg as boss, not without payment when he earn money with the site and not without proper, needed, tools and a rule set that make it really possible to punish the cheaters (rules that allow autojoiners to "correct their mistake", multiple times, and suspension timeframes of 3 days etc. are a bad joke, not to talk from all the loopholes and "perma suspended" autojoiners and multiaccounters that come back after 1 year [for me is perma something else...]).
And i am a guy that would demand stuff like the needed tools/permissions (as far as possible to create/grant), not wait 5 years+ till something happens then, and not handle cg as a holy cow.
So i am clearly the wrong guy to be mod here.

Giving them playtime on one of their games.
Advertising another of their games by wishlisting it
