Mass Effect 3 multi-player on PC...

I played it for hours on Origin with some friends. Always ran really well, no disconnects, no lag.

Since updates were discontinued it quickly turned into a ghost town. MP bonuses do affect the ending of the SP campaign but it shouldn't be necessary to get the highest-tier variations if you have the Extended Cut DLC installed. You can also resort to modding game files to boost the end-altering variables to your convenience, or to solo-farming MP games (though this will be tedious with low level kits).

If you do decide to buy it and need someone to play with, I'd be happy to. I recently bought ME3.

I really like it, but I'm not good to judge, because this is my first multiplayer experience (except Borderlands co-op story playthrough, but that's another genre, I think). Since the last Origin update I have some problem staying on, and I get dropped out often; but I hope the next Origin update will fix that. I met a few new friends through the game. :) And there are still a lot people playing it (meaning, you don't have to wait 15-20 mins to fill a lobby).

the pc community is still pretty much active, i can find a silver match with no problem, gold can take a while sometimes, especially if u want find a proper team too.

Haven't played it for quite some time now, but I had a relatively modest connection and it ran pretty well. And it's quite enjoyable, even for a MP shy person like myself :D

When I used to play I quite often got disconnected from the host. It drove me nuts when you were so close to the end of a match to be yanked back to the menu screens, and so I stopped playing.

Since then they've added so many new characters and upgrades though, a few of which I didnt manage to unlock.

Multiplayer is pretty much active, plaing it right now, im finding Silver or Gold matches almost immediately.

too bad EA terminated all weekends operations, some of them were interesting and challenging. :(
