i'm using XFCE and had no issues with Steam on Wine/PlayOnLinux. Gnome shouldn't have any issues with it either.

Wine is ok for mouse + keyboard games. I play without problems.

For games that require controllers it is not good at all. Configuring controllers on Wine is so difficult.
I have 2 PS2 and 2 Wireless xbox controllers. I can't play games like Polarity. The game does not recognize my controllers.
And on Castle Crashers, for example, my PS2 and xbox controllers are recognized but the mapping is wrong.

The only solution I know is using x360ce, but not all games are supported.

Why not create a Steam wishlist with all the Linux games you like, and then filter by wishlist on SG?

+1! That would be a nice feature.
I have to spend a lot of time verifying every game if it has Linux version.
I like to blacklist windows-only games but it is dangerous - some of those games could receive a Linux port later...
This feature could make things easier for Linux users!

If someone wins a game that does not support their OS, chances are they will not play it, thus taking away that game from someone who probably would've enjoyed it.

if someone joins a giveaway and they don't even know what they are winning, it's their fault.

there's a wishlist and follow feature in the steam store, and you can filter those games here. sg isn't a store so it doesn't need to sort everything.

According to the last threads "which is your OS?" Linux + mac users are more than 10% between steamgifters. It's not a small share anymore.
Like I've said before, It takes a lot of effort to verify every game if it has Linux version or not and hide windows-only games. It can result on hiding games that can receive Linux ports on future. An OS filter would be so useful for non-windows users.
Edit: not to mention this thread's result itself, that shows an interest of having such feature implemented.

I really really need this, either that or show the logos in the game picture as the steam client does.
