I was just playing a bit of the first one. It plays fine although some of the controls were a mystery to me. And dialing in mouse sensitivity is a must. Very cool that they're on Steam and available for free though.

I'll just wait for my sunsetted D2 Expansions to be playable again.

My problem with marathon was the 3d perspective - it either felt really flat or really warped.
Just couldn’t get past this weird feeling.

It actually does have transitions between flat and warped depending on the angle you're facing in the game, and that is definitely a weird thing to witness. I noticed it and thought it was pretty bizarre.

Way back when I played the game, I didn't have glasses and it didn't bug me but now with my wonky vision, it is a big unsettling.
I have a much lower tolerance to FPS in general but I can see what you mean with the perspective here.

Only time in my life I participated in a marathon. An endless one even. And then the Infinity one.
When Infinity was released I even bought a couple of CDs to send to my cousin and buddy who were living in Europe and couldn't find the game in stores.
