So this person tried to scam me...

I was going through my ''Other'' Facebook chats yesterday, as I figured perhaps there might've been a missed message there. I noticed that message.

I don't play Battlefield (Except 1942, which is free on Origin). I did a quick location search on the IP, and it's an IP from Singapore. Which is quite funny, since I live in West-Europe..

Needless to say, scam failed.

I'd love to, but I think that this is a case which is not big enough for cops to actually go after. Reported him to Facebook already.

Not really, he tried to scam you, who knows how many other people he tried to do it too. And maybe with numbers, he actually may find someone gullible enough to fall for it.
