How do you like to play your games?
A lot of PC games get refined over time by the modding community, fixing bugs and adding new content and graphical improvements. Older games especially have been fixed and improved putting them up to modern standards and resolutions.
Some of my favorite mods:

Usually vanilla first, and if I feel like playing it again then modded, but sometimes I'll just play the same game more than once just vanilla.
The one exception is when I want to get something fixed, if I start playing and some technical flaw that annoys me can be fixed with a mod I'll go for it.

The second playthrough? I guess, the game is focused on flow so the more experienced you are with the controls the more enjoyable the game becomes.
You should watch the insanity that are the speed runs for the game, the stuff that some people can pull off are a joy to watch.

No, the Second Mirror's Edge. It's the second if I remember right. I only played the first and I enjoyed its simplistic action gameplay.

I do watch for Ghostrunner & Titan Fall 2. It's super impressive. I could never train myself to do that.

Ah, Catalyst. It's a fine game, it has its strong points for sure, but is nowhere near as fun to play as the first one. They changed the level design way too much to fit the open world style of game and it ends up relying too heavily on the navigation system, that and the multiple choke points in the map where you only really have way to pass. But by far the worst change was how they forced a progression tree for unlocking the different moves, meaning that the first couple of hours fell clunky because you simply don't have some of the basic tools necessary to achieve that nice flow. Also removing gunplay from the game turns the combat scenarios into a boring slap contest against the enemies.

Did they remove some of the old moves-set from the first? If they were even the first one. Because that would suck. I guess they really wanted to make you feel you're progressing in the game give you a sense of reward, which is fine, but not after playing the first one.

They removed the roll, so you can't do soft landings until you unlock it again, that really screws with momentum.
They added some nice moves that complement the other ones but some don't quite fit so nicely, those made more sense to introduce later but reducing the basic set is what really messed up my muscle memory. Every time the game threw a group of enemies at me I missed the ability to steal weapons for example.
If you're interested to play it I'd recommend to do it through origin access, that's how I did it, it's easy to finish it within a week.

There's some well made, but there's far in between, because the resources and the way they are built is limited. But props to those who get to make a nice campaign out of it. Games that are fully voiced and get an strange voice acting or not at all are a complete turn off for me because they don't fit well in the game.

I play modded whenever i can find any interesting mods. I recently installed skyrim again, found a mod called Requiem so downloaded that and a bunch of other mods. From what i've played so far Requiem makes the game harder but i also have a more enjoyable time playing it

Should've had an option for "depends on the game" lol
Some games I'd probably never touch vanilla (Minecraft), while others I'll play a mix of both (Terraria), or maybe vanilla first then mods (Borderlands), or just never modded (Battleblock).

I have a hard time playing games that are dubbed and so goes for movies, anime or series. I need to see them in their native way. If I don't I will just drop it. Ghost of Tsushima for instance I've played it in Japanese, because it made the most sense to me, with English subtitles. It was hard to get used to it, but it sucked to see Jin speak in English. On my second gameplay, I might play it in English to fully understand the story.

In the comments, tell me what do you like to mod about the games, is it visual mods or gameplay mods and what's your favourite game to mod?
Free to share the best mods you've got and changed your gaming experience forever. I'm really curious. 😊
