When I upgraded to Win 10 my Steam disappeared from start menu. Even if I go through All Apps it's not there, just all the games but I like to launch Steam without launching a game straight away. I can deal with this though, I have managed to pin it to the taskbar down the bottom.

Now I've just found I have the exact same issue with Elder Scrolls Online. So I went though the File Explorer, found the game directory and launched it from there. Only problem is because is was the exe file straight for the game, it bypasses the launcher and when I go to log in it says my client is outdated and to close the came and run the launcher. Now I cannot find the launcher so cannot update the game and play it.

Anyone know why these programs don't show up in the programs list? Is there any way to add them? And most importantly how can I update my ESO? Thanks.

Edit: Nevermind, found the launcher, it's in a different folder to the actual game which I had searched for so went straight passed the folder with it.

I upgraded fine on multiple machines and Steam/other programs all populated correctly on the start menu.. That's a weird one.
