Basically, if you steal someone's credit card, they'll eventually report it stolen, but it'll work until then.
So if you buy a game with a credit card, and that card is then reported stolen and the charge fraudulent, the credit company will contact Valve, valve will track down what purchases were made with the stolen card, and undo them.

Credit card payment 'bounces' or doesn't complete properly is another one along with the others mentioned in this post.

How can a game be fraudulently purchased?
That is my question after read this in Steam FAQs:
What if I redeemed a game from a trade that is fraudulently purchased?
If this happens, the account where the fraud took place will be suspended. Your account will not be suspended, however the game you redeemed/unpacked to your account will be removed. We will restore the items/gifts that were associated with the trade that you performed to receive the game. If you did not trade any items/gifts for the game directly then we are not able to restore anything to your account (i.e. if the game was a gift). Please contact Steam Support if a game that you traded for is missing from your inventory or account.
I just can't understand how could this be possible, and I wouldn't like to be off guard.
