Please, don't mind that comment - but this discussion board was recently full of threads about SGTools.
The wounds are still fresh.
I guess the best thing for you would probably be to use the search function and look through old threads - that should actually answer your questions already.
Well, don't take it the wrong way, it's a completely valid thread you've made.... there were just so many about SGTools lately.... D:

You can add additional rules on private giveaways with sgtools. This might help you filter who can enter your giveaway. Basic filters are easy to use, the rest is black magic to me.
Also it's a spyware tool. Not really, it's just a running joke here on SG - in reality it is safe.

SGT let you check other peoples real CV 1 2, non activations & multiple wins. (No need to log in)
SGT can protect your invite only giveaways with a set of rules (Log in required).
IMO it is safe to use.
Search the discussion board for pros and cons.

The con is it's annoying as fuck to click through several extra windows just to get to a giveaway. The recent drama about the site was because it uses referral links.

Also know that cg (the SteamGifts admin) has confirmed that theres nothing wrong with SGTools and using SGTools for making giveaways on SteamGifts. :3
So the ref drama you may hear about SGTools is based on vapor, artificially inflated drama and lies.
I've made over 1000 SGTools giveaways to date and you wouldn't believe the functionality SGTools has. ^^

It allows you to easily check if someone has inactivated or double wins.
It allows you create a private giveaway and add extra filters (based on number\value of won\gifted games, keep rule-breakers away, etc..)
It's safe and it works, some people don't like it and don't want other people to use it because of reasons™

Some people joke that it's spyware and steals your info when you use it, but it probably doesn't.

Oh man, this is so apt
99% of the time, the amount of hoops to jump through inversely correlates to the game's value

if you want to help sg find and punish rule breakers, it's useless.
That's not true, it helps me a lot to check for unactivated wins and multiple copies of the same game won, otherwise I'd be too lazy to check it myself.
As in, I'd probably create my own version sooner or later :3

Hi, I never used SGTools before and not sure how it works, so I would be thankful if someone would kindly clear these up for me:
What is SGtools?
How safe is it?
Pros and cons?
thanks to all
