I recently started listenting to music from the 1920's-1950's mostly because of Fallout 3/New Vegas.

Anyways, what are some good songs from this era?

Please don't post songs from Fallout 3 or New Vegas; I have them all.

I haven't played Fallout, so I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but Nina Simone (Feeling Good, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, Sinnerman, Mississippi Goddam, etc)? Barely on the upper cusp of the era you're looking for, but pretty great. This collection may also be of interest. Other than that I'm afraid that era's kind of a blind spot for me, musically.

Oh, and Rumble. Watching Jimmy Page blissfully air guitar to it in "It Might Get Loud" is pretty fantastic.

I'm not gonna recommend any particular songs, but listen to mostly everything by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Screamin Jay Hawkins have. And as said above, check both Mafia soundtracks, they're amazing !
