I feel like I dodged a bullet. Not their worst bundle, but definitely not in line with earlier Be Mines. After 45 bundles I may be done with Groupees or at least their pre-orders.

Anyways, I'm quite ok with this bundle. Some interesting games I'd want to give a try some day, and +4 and a greenlight game. Also we guessed every game correct before the pre-order ended which is great too! ^^ Well, except the greenlight which we didn't get a hint for this time. So a decent bundle overall, maybe not so much 'wow, a great Be Mine bundle!' but well. =)

I'm noticing more of these kinds of contemptuous nehaviors from devs and publishers and others these days.
Put a game in what is supposed to be a very exclusive Humble Monthly, then a few months later, bundle it to death everywhere and destroy the value of having paid for it in the monthly.
Bundling games at the same time in multiple bundles or giving away a game for free that is currently in a bundle.
Promising to be in a bundle then pulling out at the last minute and forcing the bundle site to scramble for a replacement.
...and many more.

I haven't bought from Groupees in some time and after the Casual bundle earlier this week was my first purchase there in months (not counting those BS 50 cent bundles that I get just to give friends, October was the last time) I was worried but not too bad. If someone would be very upset, they could sue them for false promises (you could sue anyone for anything these days). Really Groupees, what happened to you and Johnny Espressino? Preorder = Full Bundle = Not full bundle, less games than in every BeMine before, no Bonuses and angry consumers? Eieieiei....

The problem is that it isn't really part of the bundle. Groupees is doing a hack, where they are using a bundle to promote a game sale, but the method is causing people to feel ripped off. They should make the game it's own separate promo bundle, and then they wouldn't have this problem. I don't know why they don't do that.

I do feel ripped off. Pre-order means getting the whole bundle for that price. Even if it was added later, it's still part of the bundle. I agree that they should have made a separate promo bundle or added the game in a different one, a bundle with no pre-order maybe. It does feel disrespectful and shady.
But I decided not to buy from groupees anymore and certainly not pre-order from them. Still have some coins and will use them only when they release a great bundle [I don't think that will happen any time soon though]. :)

I don't really care for that game but this practice of altering the content post-release and asking five times the pre-order price for the additional content is bad and it shows a lack of respect for the buyers and an attitude of "we do wtv the fuck we want just because we can".

That game wasn't part of the bundle though, so you couldn't have pre-ordered it for that. This is an after the fact addition, where they are using the bundle to promote a game sale. Personally, I think this method of trying to promote a game by tacking it on to an existing bundle is ridiculous. They should make it it's own featured thing in a one-game bundle.

I agree completely, except I see it from slightly different angle. I think it's rather a very poor use of their bundling and marketing in a way that angers and confuses their customers.
The developer/publisher went to Groupees and had a very specific idea of how much they wanted to sell the game for and how they wanted to promote it, and there was no way they were going to do that in a bundle with a $2 pre-order. The only way to sell the game the way the publisher wanted was to put it in a bundle with no pre-order. The problem is, they would have to curate a new bundle to do that, and the publisher wanted to promote it now. So Groupees thought they could tack it on to the existing bundle, rather than taking the time to curate a new one, and now they've pissed off a lot of folks.
Make no mistake though, the developer/publisher of this game did not and would never agree to put the game into a bundle with a $2 pre-order, at least, not at this stage of it's development. So, the only choices are (1) no pre-order, (2) tack it on after the fact, (3) no game addition at all. That was the only nuance I was trying to add, that developer/publisher demands have something to do with why Groupees keeps doing this. They're trying to find a solution to a problem, but the solution is making things worse. Otherwise, I agree with what you and everyone else is saying.

It's a complete mess. They're constantly experimenting and bending the rules as they see fit and this way they usually end up with some bad decisions. The lack of consistency and clarity doesn't help at all.

According to cyanic, they didn't plan it as a multitier bundle (hence their current Tier 2 payment related bug) which contradicts Johnny's affirmation:
