Group Giveaways group

a few of them are like that, others are simply "be active", "say thanks". Depending. It is their group so they set up their own rules. But I am not sure if groups should be posting in forum. I am certain that they could find a better way to find new members.

To this day I have yet to see a group that enforces their members to gift only to that particular group. You can gift to whoever you like. What many of them do ask is that you also contribute to the group.

According to this group, to stay in, you pretty much need to focus your giveaways on them at least twice a month if they are cheaper ones.

10p giveaway per month
15p giveaway per 2 months
20p giveaway per 3 months

So 20$ for 3 months = 5$ from a %75 off steam sale and this is supposed to be less than "all your money" in most cases. Also No groups restrict your giveaways to only 1 group except that minimum participation amount as far as I know.

Really? Not that "you have to spend money so the admin of the group can win more games"-sh*t again.

If I'm forced to buy $10-worth of games every month to give away, for a small chance of winning a game I'm not really interested in the first place, I'll just save it and buy stuff FOR MYSELF.

^This man speaks my mind on this matter. It's basically a minimum $10 /month subscription to stay in a steam group. If I had 10 dollars a month I didn't care about, I'd be playing EVE.

actually i'm AJValentine, and i'm not that Veriety dude, tbh i thought he was a bit of a douche. i was just a member of those groups. if you check out my stats, i been on here for a while. and have had an active steam account since i believe.. 2009? :)

EDIT: i now know why you thought i was him.. when he messed with his group. he changed the URL, making all the active giveaways locked to a non existent group that nobody could enter. i created a second group with the same URL so that people could enter again.

Hope that clears stuff up mustapusta.
