Leveling up on Steam is really worth?

your e-penis grows with every lvl as well, so depends if you treasure it or not.

I love that I can personalize my profile with showcases.
Backgrounds and badges are cool. Im lvl 26 now. At this point Im not really trying hard to lvl up..Mostly wanted to be lvl 20 to have showcases for achievements and for games (for my own reference). But if lvl 30 hapens, it happens :D Am slowly creeping towards it anyway.. Event badges and now and then a badge for a game I really enjoyed.

I think its not really that difficult to achieve lvl 10 so you can at least have some ind of personalization to your profile. Other than that - not much use.. Only if you want to have bunch of friend slots, as other already mentioned.

I just the steam metagame. Worth it? depends if you want to play that game

Why not both? I mostly buy anime games (that have slightly expensive backgrounds and a slightly huge fanbase) to make badges, but in the end i sell those backgrounds for even higher prices compared to i spent for the badges. But it's risky i must say, sometimes i can stick with cheapest backgrounds. Probably they compensate eachother in the long run.
