I had a Commodore 64, and then a Commodore 128, but if you don't classify them as "PC", I also had an M28, which was a Pc with an Intel 286 processor @8 MHz, a green phosphor monitor, 1 MB or RAM, and a 20 MB Hard Drive!
Playing games on that thing was painful, I much preferred the C=64!

  • RAM i cant really remember
  • some unidentifiable GPU not much bigger than a credit card which was immediately replaced by an Ati x1650 pro with an aftermarket cooler
  • one 40GB and one 20gb IDE drive

My first PC was an Intel 286, 64kb RAM (I think, might have been less), a 32MB HDD, dual 5.25" floppy drives, one 3.5" floppy drive, rocking MS-DOS 3.1 (yes, the one legendary for how buggy it was) with a primitive "dosshell" GUI.

Ah, the memories.
A 386sx 25mhz and 80mb hdd + 5.25 & 3.5 floppy drives.
It had a black case and monitor which made me feel very special (only white ones were in stores at that time in my area)

In early 90's i used to have an Amiga 500+ but i hated it because it failed to run most of the games i bought (actually a computer shop was copying and selling them illegally). In '95 i got a Pentium 75. Not sure about the RAM, got an S3 video card, 800MB HDD. I guess the best part was the 2x CD-ROM drive (paid a lot for that).

My very first "PC" was so called Didaktik. It was just a keyboard that connected to the TV and the games were loaded from cassette tapes. My second PC was IBM with windows 3.11. Oh, I feel so old now... :D

First one I had, was a VIC20, but not sure if that counts....the next was a Tandy 1000 with a CGA monitor...My mom had an apple computer with amber monochrome monitor before that, but i never got to touch it, and don't know anything about it.

My first PC was a 486 with 1 mb RAM and a ~300 mb HDD. (i remember that i needed to quit norton commander so i would have enough free ram to run Lotus xD) also a big, heavy monitor that was 14" and only 640x480

My second PC was a PentiumMMX 200mhz, 64 mb ram, 30gb hdd, 4mb SiS6326 with a Voodoo 1 (i still have my voodoo and it still works, shame that noone made a driver yet for win7 x64, i would use it) also i got a new monitor 15" and it was able to do up to 1280x1024 i think.

I was around 7-8 years old when I got:
Intel Petium 4 1.7 GHz
GeForce 440mx
160GB HDD
some random motherboard
256 RAM x 2.

It was extremely expensive shiet those days. Now I have just an average one.

Back in '98 I had a Compaq Intel Pentium 3 at 600 MHz, a 3dfx Voodoo 3 3000 video card and 512 RAM and I remember changing it for a better one because it couldn't run GTA 3 when it came out. :D

My very first one, which I had at home but it was actually rent by my office, was a 486 DX 33, 4MB RAM, and (i think) a 120 MB HDD. Windows 3.1

The first personal one, bought with my own money, was a Pentium 75, 16 MB RAM and a 3D Blaster VGA (among the first ones with 3d HW acceleration, based on the Rendition Veritè chipset, before the big nvidia 3DFX boom).

Oh man... it's unbelieavable how fast things have skyrocketed; while i was writing this I had to double-check if i was actually thinking "MB" or "GB", because it seemed so small that for a moment I thought i was confusing things... and i'm not even that old ;-)
