I recommend the Max Payne series to Sir GunnerManner. Very fun and interesting games, coming from someone who hates linear games. Also, Max Payne 3 features some especially fun multiplayer and co op if you're into that stuff.

Portal and Portal 2. It's probably my favorite game series of all time.
