The one I spent the most time on was FFX. Thought the story was meh and hated the main character Teeeeeeedius, but the gameplay and visuals were solid.

Hated the "Follow the only road" style it took. Was too used to playing the open world FF games that when I played it I hated it. I am thinking that if I was to play it now, or replay it perhaps when it comes to Steam... that i may enjoy it far more now.

Wasn't as bad as XIII in that regard, but yeah, I hated how the overworld was abstracted to locations you picked to travel to from a list.

ATV Offroad Fury 2. I played this game for hours on end as a kid. Also had some coop fun with my sister who sucks at games more than I do. Various gamemodes and ways to just screw around. And a very memorable soundtrack as well.

I'm gonna have to go with either Silent Hill 2, Shadow of the Colossus or Final Fantasy X. There might have been better games at its time, but those two are the ones I find the most memorable, and thus in hindsight probably were the best ones.
To this day SH2 is still the only game that scared the crap out of me, making me stop playing twice before finishing the game. I still remember throwing the controller in the air after a cut-scene when it started vibrating again (which it did to indicate your health). During the cutscene the vibrations were turned off, so when it suddenly started shaking again I just wasn't ready for it. That specific cutscene wasn't even that scary, but I was so immersed into the game.

Xenosaga (series), It's one of the best RPG's that I've played. For me is much better than every PS2 Final Fantasy.

Those two have a special place, other games I consider my favourite are GTA San Andreas, Bully, The Warriors, Hitman Blood Money, Sly 3, Dragon Ball Z Budakai Tenkachi 2, I have many more, these are at the of of my head.

My favourite would be Gran Turismo 4, so many cars available and I like the idea of doing races and making money to get cool cars. How about you guys?
