How Many?
Last game I bought myself for (handheld) console was Pokemon X, that was 2013 apparently.
Other than that, I got my brother Sleeping Dogs & Borderlands1&2 Christmas last year for his 360.
I'd be surprised if people are buying 51+ games for a console each year. Especially if they're new. @_@
"Exclusives" just aren't worth it when you're not a "fanperson".
Also thanks for the giveaway. :)

Well I have about 50 games for Nintendo DS but that was bought over years and the majority were secondhand, patience on ebay and lucky finds at car-boots.
I don't doubt that these people exist but you really have to be crazy, rich or dumb to be buying inferior experiences at top price these days. :s
Either that or a passionate collector. Seen some impressive photos of collections of classics. Seeing the same thing but with the modern consoles and I'm just like... "why". D:

Something to point out, used games. While Steam has pretty much eliminated that from PC, its still a good choice on consoles. One Christmas sale had me pick up nearly 50 used games for PS2 with a buy 2, get 1 free offer running at the time.

I don't have a PS4 and likely won't for a long while. Only got my PS3 last November. Already over 200 games. **** yeah for used games and the PSN sales.

Voted 0, but would like to add this is simply due to available income. I simply can not afford to have a console, when I was going into school having a laptop for work and homework was almost a must, adding an extra 200 to make it gaming capable was a no brainer. In the future my PC:Console ration would probably be 1:1 or 2:1

0 on current-gen (Don't own a Xbone 4-U)
Own 39 PS3 games (not counting digital. Probably an extra 30?)
9 360 games (Again, not counting digital. Maybe an extra 10?)
21 Wii games (0 digital)
And 77 on PS2
Which, all pales in comparison to Steam, where it is 670...
As for newer purchases, it really depends on where I can get it cheapest, which more often than not is Steam. However, Playstation does have some good deals every so often (just recently got Child of Light for $2.5, and De Blob 2 for $1)

I hate consoles. I love PC gaming. I sometimes game on my phone when I don't have a PC nearby.

I don't purchase a lot of games outside Steam either, but that's largely a matter of if it's a must-have exclusive title, sale prices (compared to Steam), and what kind of game it is. Co-op for a popular title is important because most of my friends are console gamers instead of PC.
So to that end, Star Wars Battlefront will definitely be on PS4 because the PC version is an Origin/EA purchase with no cross-platform compatibility.

I'm so sad I had to sell so many of my games to deal with bills last year. My PSP library was devastated, sold my Wii and all but a handful of games and even my DS stuff was unsafe, dropped down about 30 games.

Actually, both were stolen (though I eventually found a cheap DS to replace that at least, still looking for a cheap PSP)

I don't have any Nintendo stuff, and the rest interests me exactly none. Not really interested in the same system re-released with the exact same controller scheme for the 3rd or 4th time without any change in games other than better graphics.

I own a lot of games for my Xbox 360, 2 for my ps2, 2 for my PSP and about 10 for my Vita. I used, because they don't make games for the 360 anymore my xbox to play AAA games my computer can't handle.

I have a about 135-160 games for my 360 ( my go to system to play) . (( Alot of them are older or from Games with Gold ))
About 15-20 for my PS2. ( Had a lot more but they burnt in a house fire about 4 years ago )
About 15-20 for my Gamecube.
About 10-15 for my PsP.
About 5 for my Nintendo 64.
Then the rest i play on Steam.
But to all this, i stopped buying games for consoles for a while now.

I don't own a console. Hell, it's barely if my current computer can run most games on minimum.

Pure PC gamers are as much scum as pure console gamers.
Best of both worlds here. I can have all the exclusives and advantages. Even power cuts don't scare me, I got a 2DS, DS, GBA-SP and GBC.

Heh, remade the thread since, as far as I could tell, you cannot edit a poll. Sorry about that! Take this as my apology!
Anyhooo, personally, outside of Steam I don't purchase too many games.
