It's not a waste of money. I got my moneys worth the day I signed up. (That was when there was a crap load of free stuff on there)

I think it was a good deal if you bought the year membership for $30 or so, back when it netted you nine games on day one or whatever.

Lately, it's been pretty weak though.

Well i joined 2 months ago, because i thought you get a free game every month. (was Payday back then)

But still no new game, and the closed betas are all for crap games. Won't subscribe after this month.

U do, but ign currently have problems with the monthly free game (however, they will issue a free code for every one who didn't got it and had a membership for this month)

Exactly why I decided to sign up for a month. Got me several games I was entering on Steam Gifts (King Arthur, Choplifter HD...) and a few to gift. Considering that $7 is not much higher than an indie bundle, that the game selection isn't bad and the 15% on GamersGate, a store I already bought quite a few game from, I think it's a very good deal.
