I've read all I could find about trading in the Discussions, but I couldn't find an answer I was looking for... Maybe I have missed and maybe you'll forgive me :P

So, just to clarify the title a bit, I would like to know what method do you use for determining the price of a Humble Monthly game when you trade. Namely, I know that traders use different methods, however, the one that seems the easiest - dividing the total price of the bundle by the number of games in that particular tier should give you the price of each game in that tier (I hope I got that one right so far xD ) - could not be used in the case of a Monthly, since there are no tiers! Or do people still calculate it by using that method? I doubt that this is the case simply because the early unlocks are usually the most valuable games in the bundle, but I am unsure.

So, SG to the rescue! :D Thanks in advance for all the answers!

G2A is a good indicator, many traders don't want to admit their games are worth close to zero.

That IS a good indicator, and I do take that into consideration. However, it gets a tad more complicated if the game I want is unbundled vs my bundled ones.

If that unbundled game is also there then you also got a good estimate, if it's not well then just expect to trade a whole truckloads of your bundled games for what you want, or you know just say the name of the game.

Most games I want are unbundled so far: DOOM, Divinity Original Sin 2, Diablo 3, Diablo 2... I understand I have to unload a truckload xD of bundled games, but I just don't want to overdo it xD

g2a, kinguin, any market with the lowest price. 🤷
sometimes traders have lower prices but it's not the norm.

Understood! Thanks!

People who resell keys normally base value on G2A/Kinguin.
Those who just trade for games they want to play have completely different methods of determining value (such as how much they want to play the game, how many people have vs. want the game on barter.vg , etc.)

I understand! I saw these methods mentioned in many places. Thank you!

Told someone about Paradigm on Kinguin for 56 cents, he said it was even cheaper on ebay and he got alot of it there because it's cheaper (more risk though).

Right! :D I'd risk it on Kinguin, though xD

Allkeyshop for reference and barter for h/w ratio and amount of times bundled.

Cheers for the tip on Allkeyshop! Many thanks, highly useful and I totally forgot about that site! Yes, many people mention h/w as a criteria, as well as the number of times bundled!

Thanks!

This. But since allkeyshop neither shows all official resellers nor offers historical prices, I'd like to add the price history of ITAD (how often sales) on top of it.

Price of the bundle divided by the amount of games of the bundle.

I don't understand barter.vg's interface. It all seems a bit cryptic and every time I try to look at it I give up. :(

If I have something to trade I only use SteamTrades these days and the only indicator of value I have is what many of the big traders there are asking or offering for the game.

Barter.vg does seem a bit crude-ish (tags and moving games from a category to a different category, I am looking at you! -__- ), but I fin the matching of the said website, as well as the one of Lestrade's, to be indeed most excellent!

When I started looking into trading, I, of course, went to Steamtrades, but looking at the endless lists of H/W is soooooooooo tedious to me, not to mention time-consuming. But, looking at what big traders ask for over there, in addition to taking a peek at Allkeyshop.com could prove to be very useful! :)

Then use Lestrade's instead.

I just don't understand why people not using it. It has the most intuitive UI I've ever seen and with the same features comparing to Barter.vg.
