I'll try fiddling with the memory ... on Saturday. Too much shopping to do now, and I have to work on Friday.

It's my desktop computer that's the problem ... and which I'm still using. My laptop is my backup.

My monitor stopped recognizing the GPU yesterday. Any way to test for this?

I don't know what do you mean by a test. If it is your GPU? Well, obviously your system won't boot up, right? Try to remove your GPU and start the PC, it should get you to windows, but I'm not sure if you need to have secondary GPU (like the one in the processor.) 1 my friend wasn't able to start it, but my another friend was. It was on Windows 98, he boot it up without the GPU, but it had many graphical glitches. Or try to insert it to a another computer? There are some ways for sure.

Yeah ... I'm going to assume that's not the case. :)

Luckily I have my laptop from work, otherwise I'd seriously be freaking out right now. What timing! Hopefully my SSD, which I bought less than one year ago, isn't failing.
Yes, shower me with your sympathy as you all revel in your new games. Your e-shoulders need my e-tears.
