I found SteamGifts via...
I've spent some part of my life thinking and trying to remember how did I got here, but I never seemed to remember. I do know that I started using forum like 4-5 months after i started using the site.

during the 2011 steam holiday sale's coal event, i got a copy of worms: reloaded. i didnt want it, none of my steam friends wanted it, and while browsing the forums a guy said that if you didnt want a game you got from the event then you could give it away on this website.
then i won cogs, and i've stuck around ever since.

You lost your friends?
Wow. Tough stuff that.
There's no option for those who don't know themselves and got here by friends. :(

I stabbed a dwarf woman to send her gay midget husband a message that contains the secret location of an unicorn with 3 balls and threatened him to retrieve the unicorn for our master and saviour the flying spaghetti monster and I ended up here.

It eventually stemmed from discovering bundles, it went a bit like this:

Was giving away spare keys in GOG forums, and thought there has to be a better way to give keys so it is not just fastest in gets the keys, so did a Google search with the intention to make a website if I couldn't find one.

I was googling something to do with Steam (can't remember what exactly) and came across a youtube video titled 'How to get Steam Games for Free.' Thought I'd have a look and one of the ways it said was through gifting sites so googled Steam Gifts and found this.

A friend told me about it and explained to me what it was. I was like 'cool' and signed up, read the faq, entered some giveaways, won a game and decided I should give something away as well, so I did.

I have always been here.
I was asked to test the beta by cg because he remembered me from a few TF2 events we'd done. Plus, I am amazing, and everyone wants to have me help them with random things.
So, I was here.

I don't even remember...3 years ago was when I got back into PC gaming. I remember buying a few games before the summer sale then was pissed they were all 75% off. Hadn't used steam in years so I had no idea or had forgotten about summer sales :P. But I was searching forums of the respective games and I might have saw SG there. Either that or a friend, I'd ask but he passed away a few years ago.

I was always here. Sometimes I am not. Maybe I already left. Who knows when I will come back.

I was being cheap one day and was Google ways to earn free steam games/cash. Steam Companion is the one I found first, but didn't really like it. Soon after I found SteamGifts.

all i remember is i had to get an invite code from somewhere. don't remember how i heard of it to know i wanted an invite code, but it didn't take all that long to find a code, use it to register, give away some extra games from my inventory and even win one myself!

It was during the 2011 coal madness. During that time I received all games of FEAR(a time before bundles, this was pretty good). I was so happy that I wanted more(even tho I never played because I fear), made a little Google search and found this.
I regret ever since :P

But yeah, moving onto me, it hasn't been that long since I've signed-up here, but my found wasn't exactly new. I saw the SG links quite somewhere on forums and sometimes when searching for specific games in Google. Well, I always avoided because it didn't make much sense for me at the first thought. I thought of being possibly scammed so I stayed away, seen it "Definitely can't be legit." at the time. And plus I'd usually giveaway my games to my friends since I didn't have any community.
But then, some lot's of stuff happened, I lost three of my best friends, and now the last one is in army for another year, so I'm alone, also left alone with my extra keys. :P Well, I went and tried for G2A, for a while, and it actually worked up for some. I have Final Fantasy XIV and soon Heavensward too thanks to it. But after I got what I needed I got bored again, and selling and waiting was too boring.
So I went and typed in Google: "Steam Giveaways". So I checked through the first page and signed up on four of them (One being SG). SG mainly got me for the design, to be honest. So yeah, my first giveaway happened with a DLC. I didn't decide to stay on to be honest, but there were like some games on my wishlist I saw being given away, so I was like why not. But then I've learnt about CV system and more levels => more giveaways. So I used my last pennies on G2A to get a game, gave away.
But yeah, right now I guess I'm pretty much... At least hourly checking the site. Started up GD too, meanwhile I wait stacking for more points. So yeah, that is my story. What's yours? :P
