It's minimum of 6 GB. You didn't reach it yet, but in SP mission underwater, it's used for Fish AI.
Also probably ghost RAM.

lol really? i think its high time that a lot of people upgrade to the standard of 6-8 gb which has been the preferred standard for a few years now. ram is so cheap, skip a few of the holiday sale games that wont get played for a few months -year or maybe never and get something that is more worth the money and will help enjoy the games that do get played that much more.

Looks like I'll be looking to save $$$ to upgrade my rig to nvidia and intel and try my hardest to resist steam sales. Screw AMD processors and lame-o drivers

A game not even running because of ram requirements makes me think about the times when my computer was always short of cache memory and I
had to upgrade it from 8 mb to 16 mb and fix the config.sys and autoexec.bat.
Which means...it sucks.
