I blame Slitherine. Most of of their games are overpriced.

Apparently the game drags, and is simplistic, bug-ridden, and low on content.
If you get past that, the reviews indicate it's a decent game..?

Well, the developer is still partially active, so there's some mild hope they'll fix some of the lingering issues eventually.
Though that does get less and less likely as time progresses. :S

It's all the more discouraging that 4 out of 6 of their games have lingered at Mixed reviews. That said, the Chainsaw Warrior adaptations both appear to have gotten some minor updates for a couple years following their release, so that precedence still leaves some hope for Last Days to perhaps eventually receive at least some minor bug patch updates.

On the other hand, the more recent Achtung! Cthulu Tactics hasn't gotten any updates past an initial one immediately following its release last August, despite the developer implicitly promising future updates for it. So.. there's that.

+1, I was thrilled when it was gifted to me as it seems to be considered one of the more definitive space 4x games unlike spinoffs from other 4x IPs (looking at you Civ Beyond Earth)
