First up, I'm going to point you over to HERE where the steam version of B:AO is on sale for under £4, and the sale is ending in just over 8 hours from the time of this post.
(don't forget to tick the 'gift' option if not for yourself!)

Now that's out of the way, I have a quick question for people who already own the title : Is the multiplayer worth it? Is there any real activity in that game or has it already died down? Is it an absolute requirement for all eight slots to be filled for a game to commence? That's it. Sure it seems like a waste of a thread, but hey, high-budget non-standard multiplayer games are something we can all appreciate, right? :3

edit : Looks like multiplayer is still a go. Maybe consider roping in some of your friends, and once us singleplayer folks have caught up, we could have a Steamgifts rumble or five~

usually multiplayer games have a minimum of 3 or 4 players if it's a 2 group game. I recently got origins but I want to play the single player first, haven't actually tried multi at all

Steamcharts says that as of right now there are ~600 people playing. I would say the multiplayer is likely still going strong.

Awesome, thanks for the replies.

I suppose now is the best time to get a copy and maybe rope some friends into it. After I clear the singleplayer sometime, maybe we should round up some Steamgifts folks and have a little multiplayer riot? >:D

The game itself is worth getting for the single player, never tried the multiplayer though.
