To be completely honest I hadn't noticed that they were repeats at the time of writing my original comment because I don't really keep track of what's been already given away before. I just looked at the titles themselves, recognized the games as ones with good reputation, and felt annoyed at someone dismissing them just because they weren't big expensive AAA names.
On the other hand, I don't really see it as "wasting days", there's always gonna be people that missed previously given away games and will be happy to get a second chance at snatching them, featuring these repeats as one day offers at the end of the year (imagine it as an encore of sorts) instead of taking one of the weekly slots seems reasonable to me. You have to remember that they aren't really doing this because of the goodness of their hearts but rather as a promotional tactic to get people to check the store every day during the main sale season of the year, they just wants us to be back daily to take a look and that's working so far.

Understandable, though I don't get why you didn't notice all the comments (including mine) mentioning that these are repeats.
Especially when you are annoyed or upset about other comments, it would make sense to check if you got them right. ;)
I guess Epic will somewhat benefit from daily visits, though not too much either as they don't offer any new deals while the sale lasts. And offering multiple repeats in series would logically also have a negative impact on their customers' motivation to return.

I was skipping through comments because so many were just guessing about the next game, yours just happened to catch my attention, when visiting SG from mobile I often don't pay as much attention since I have to zoom in to read a comment.
My guess is they hope users to see something they like while visiting daily and that the repeated visits might eventually push them over the edge and convince them to buy it, kinda like how supermarkets put the chocolate bars right next or in the path you have to take when you're in the queue to pay.

I find it fascinating that people are complaining about Sable. Never bundled, 86% w/ 2k+ reviews on Steam, released just over a year ago. I think most people would agree that it's a very nice looking game too, but art is subjective, so IDK.
