Good day/night to you!

Yesterday I've created my little birthday GA train and now I've started to receive messages from the winners that can't activate their Humble gifttlinks. The error message says "This Humble gift subscription can't be claimed in your region", despite those keys wasn't locked for winners' regions.

The first game is ENSLAVED™: Odyssey to the West™ Premium Edition from Humble BANDAI NAMCO Bundle 4. Humble says it locked for some Asian countries (BN, CN, HK, ID, JP, KH, KP, KR, LA, MM, MN, MO, MY, PG, PH, SG, TH, TL, TW, VN), but it should be a ROW key. Anyway, the winner is from Czech Republic, but he can't activate it.

The next one is Overload from June 2020 Humble Monthly. It's a ROW key, the winner is from Republic of Korea, but he is getting the same error message "This Humble gift subscription can't be claimed in your region".

Does anyone have the same problem?

Sounds like not an issue with the key but rather with the gift itself? Maybe try sending them the steam key instead of a gift link?

Why next time? You can retrieve links by yourself and give keys to winners

Yes, I had the same problem. You can claim the gift link for yourself and give the winner the key instead. Works that way.

We're both from Russia. Maybe that issue is a preview for Humble region locking absolutely everything on their store, and they're testing it on us. Or maybe it's just a fluke, who knows. I would certainly be very cautious about buying anything from them.

One IMPORTANT addendum - since "keys are only for personal use", talking about this situation in public can easily put both our accounts in danger of being disabled. If you have any unredeemed games on yours, I suggest you claim them now.

I don't think they will block my account for giving a few keys away for free. Especially since their giftlink system is broken.

That's what a sane person would think. Unfortunately, lately Humble's been incredibly inconsistent with what you can and can't do with games you bought from them. And if your account gets disabled, appeals and explanations to support will likely fall on deaf ears.
I'm not saying it will definitely happen, by the way. I'm just warning you, as it didn't immediately occur to me that my explanation of how to bypass the gift link problem can fuck you over. While I don't care about my own account getting disabled - I don't have anything left there - I wouldn't want it to happen to others.
