Played both, preferred Bastion far above Transistor. Transistor had a more intriguing story line, however Bastion had better game play and was more fun over all.

I only played Bastion and I think it's overrated. The narrator is great and really adds something special to the game, art-style is great, soundtrack is okay but everything else is meh. Story is uninteresting, combat is simplistic and dull, level designs are nothing special. Overall the only things the game has going for it are the nice art-style and the narrator, which for me wasn't enough to like the game or feel like finishing it.

I recently played both games, but I started with Bastion as recommended by a friend. I think that's a good strategy as both are fantastic but Transistor shows how the publisher has matured. So if you play them in order there's no risk of seeming like you're going backwards in terms of game play.

That poll though. Such excellent games! You have an amazing choice to make, you win either way! :D

I rated Bastion 10/10 and Transistor 9/10. Both are "must play" for every gamer out there IMO. Bastion is definitely easier to approach, more is explained. In Transistor you're thrown into the world and nothing is explained, literally plus combat is pretty complicated at first. Not to mention the combos/powers you can use. It'll take like an hour or two to get used to that but once you do it's magnificent. I say try Bastion first, if you'll like it then you'll like Transistor as well.

My vote goes to Transistor, but not easily or lightly. I think the almost 50/50 split it's got going on right now feels pretty appropriate. Though Bastion's plot is a little less infuriatingly indecipherable.

I really liked both but Transistor shines more in NG+ since you have more freedom with skills so combat is more interesting. Bastion is instantly interesting in gameplay.
Both OST are amazing. Both are emotional (noooooo I didn't cry!!! Ok yes I did)
So Transistor for NG+ and story (and Red), Bastion for general gameplay.

I picked Bastion purely because this reminded me that I haven't finished that game yet. :D

Both. Either. It doesn't matter as long as you get the soundtrack. The supergiant complete pack is the one you want if you can manage it.

Both are wishlisted for a long time, i can get only one of them now.. I feel closer to the Bastion because it is released earlier.. Why should someone pick one over the other one ?
