I presume for the things you remember that it's not Zombie Shooter. But was the graphic style similar? Or it was more like Bomberman (colorful, cartoonish) as the pic you posted above ?

did you ever find out what the game was called? i think we're looking for exactly the same game, i really cannot find anything about it on the internet. it was super old, looked cartoonish, gameplay sounds exactly like you're describing.

Can you help me, I am lookimg for old zombie game I played 8-10 years ago.
Well, what I remember?
-Windows 98/2000
-view from above
-control one charakter
-there was area to move your character and others can move here aswell
-there were both health characters and sick characters (zombie)-one zombie or more firstly- I don't remember
-zombies could infect health characters and they became zombie and so on
-there wers brains which you could gain, I don't remember it very well, but you had to collect them
-you had to flee from zombies
Can you help me? :-D Who loves zombie games aswell?
I don't think this game is on Steam :-)
