I hope this wasn't covered in another thread, a quick search provided no results.
To put it short, I get an error trying to open the Fanatical website. I waited for a few days, then opened a ticket to Fanatical's support.
It turns out that this is no mistake, they block Russia on purpose. I asked if I missed any official statement from Fanatical. The Support replies there was no statement, just the block for all Russians to visit the site. I feel a contradiction - if blocking Russia isn't their official policy, then a block must be someone's personal incompetence or a technical error.

understand if they no longer want to process payments from Russia, but I am an existing customer and now I cannot access my profile and previous purchases. For example, Humble has blocked purchases from Russia, but I still can freely visit their website, have full access to my profile, personal information and previous purchases.

UPD: I managed to get my unrevealed keys via support. The support was helpful, but I'd rather keep my profile and purchases private.
The site is still unavailable from Russia.

"Official statement" is NOT the same as "official policy".

Just because they didn't announce it doesn't mean the block didn't come from the owners/managers of the site/business.

It is pretty crap that they couldn't just disable purchases though, and not just lock you out completely.

Nazi - a member of the National Socialist party, which controlled Germany from 1933 to 1945
or
Nazi - a person who uses their power in a cruel way; a person with extreme and unreasonable views, especially racist or anti-Semitic views (= feelings of hatred for people who are not white, who are Jewish, etc.)

Looks like you are a Nazi saying this, calling people such.

Here we are about either an uneducated fuck or a Nazi himself. Are we clear here?

Any business dealings require a certain amount of mutual trust. The growing normalization of revising done deals if a party sees it's going in their favor undermines this principle.
More concise: another dick move from Fanatical denying you access to your account. Not that I trusted them in the past as I consume all keys bought asap.

Right, but the idea here is THE REASON - nobody would in their right business mind just DECIDE so. We are looking at external reasons, that are JUSTIFED, right?! You can't argue with war - it's bad, mkay. Oh, this has nothing to do with you? Well...you still can't argue here, right. "Sorry, we robbed you, it's not your fault, but here is our STRONG excuse". What's also funny here is the timing - how about waiting another full month or a year? Running late to a hype train is even worse than participating at all. Considering all this - I just can't understand for whom this stunt is meant for? As usual - whenever an entity that exists only to make money is trying to do something else - it's always a failure.

I think people should have access to the products they purchased, but to pretend a systematic killing, imprisonment and destruction of Ukrainians isn't exactly "random shit". You don't shoot a children's hospital, destroy a Holocaust memorial and commit an uncountable amount of war crimes because you're "lol random".

This is an extreme situation. This isn't just daily normalcy. I just hope they get access to their purchases since they have the right for them, no matter what a government does. Or a refund. One or the other.

EDIT: They can access their keys by contacting support.

If the reason for not being able to purchase from Russia is economic sanctions, that is not an option.
If there were government directives or legal changes to block access from Russia due to security concerns,
In such a case, the company will think that it can't be helped.

In the absence of such a directive?
However, restricting access to what we have been purchasing seems odd.
I find response to be disappointing.

Well it looks like a new wave of pirates is being bred.

Way to stick it to the Russian government, by denying the people a bit of fun.

This kind of thing only really only makes sense with major commodities, not small luxuries.

Seems like virtue signaling that the owners are on board with everyone else hating at the Russian people, for what they're government is doing.

That's a bit too dramatic, we're talking about a single official reseller. There are more stores, and then there's still Steam with its regional pricing that makes it a lot cheaper for buying games than Fanatical itself. (Bundles may or may not worth compared to Steam store prices)
The main issue is users not accessing their bought keys.
edit: according to the screenshot of coleypollockfilet below they can ask the support to access their keys, so at least there's that.

Just contacted Fanatical support on twitter. Based on their answer, you can ask them to provide you the keys you want (that you already purchased before).

Thanks for taking time to check the matter! The bad thing is they didn't say when will we have access to our accounts. It's been for a few days at least (probably weeks) and I don't know if it will change soon.
I'll ask the support to send me my unrevealed keys, but I still worried - there was credit card info in my profile and probaly some other personal data.

edit : i forwarded your concerns yesterday but Fanatical didn't answer more, so i guess they don't want to talk more than previous answer
i agree it's better that you contact their support directly to get your keys back in case they would not restore the accounts

Well, not really. Wars had and will happen, for one reason or another. Hell, I even see the hypocrisy of west when they condemn Russia while doing jackshit to USA, UK and may of their "friends".
Look, I'm not from either of the countries so have no say (and shouldn't have to) but Russia had it's reasons for the actions they took and so does Ukraine for the last 20-30 years.
I don't condemn or condone war; I condemn the issues faced by innocent civilians, regardless of their nationalities.
On the other hand, I could not give less fuck on what happens to politicians. Those fuckers ruin everything.

Also, a bit of LOL about the private company fallacy when it suits the agenda else it's discrimination ;)

People is so,so, SOOO inmature. Some Russians are OK with the war here, so all russians here are ok with the war then?, NO. War is bad, Putin has his reasons to start a war?, maybe, that is subjetive, EE. UU. do it every year, and no one says nothing about it. Zelensky did his things?, maybe, yes, war is ok?. No. War is never okay, because people die, innocents or no innocents, familys get separated, apart from that no one thinks about the poor animals that get in the middle of the war. NO ONE thinks about the poor animals that get in the middle of the conflicts of the big bad people. Destroying everything around them. So...if i need to say something about fanatical or the other companys, that are penalizing russian people, that MAYBE are ok withe the war or MAYBE NOT. Im not okay with that. The poor people have nothing to do with what they president do. More in the case of putin that is a dictator nowdays. I already gained like 11 blacklists for posting a sarcasm comment in this thread. If you think that companys decide "freely" you are a fool.... I don't know where you live, maybe for me, living in a 3rd world country made me to think a lot more to survive, but Argentinian Goberment for example, trust me that they are with putin 100%. But because the gob need help from the FMI with money they started to say that Putin need to stop war and bla bla bla. It happens with countrys, trust me it happens with companys. And mostly for companys that don't want to lose money. Yeah for sure they say "we are against war and we do this because we don't like it"... But the truth is that they do for money. And about your numbers "oficial poll" by a "foreign agent"..... in base of how many people? ages?. Really?... The "official poll" of Cuba is that there are almost no poor people... and that is what the ONU knows because are the stats that the goberment gives. So like i said before, people need to start to use more the brain and need to think out of the box.
Edit: And about that... You can search about this "Facebook allows war posts urging violence against Russian invaders". So... yeah.... The policy of facebook is not tolerate violence but VOILA, there you got...if it is vs russians you can :D.

Edit2: And don't get me wrong, im not defending Putin, or Ucraine, because im against the war. every tipe of war. And im not defending the people that are Ok with this. Im saying that there are innocent Russians that doesn't want this and they are dragged, like germans in their days. People need to calm down. Because we are generating violence of nowhere.

I do understand your reaction, but as a political scientist I'd like to correct you in some moments.

First of all, Levada Center is part of a so-called "Bolshaya troyka" - 3 main sociological research organizations. Two of these organizations - FOM and VTsIOM - are state-owned institutions. Levada is de jure independent, but in fact it is controlled by the Kremlin, just like all "opposition parties" in State Duma. Therefore, I would be wary of data coming from Levada. I mean, just look at how they frame their questions. They ask people whether they support the actions of the Russian troops in Ukraine or not. But the thing is, if you answer no, then this is considered a crime under the laws of Russia. That's why many of those who don't support war don't participate in polls or don't answer such questions. This was confirmed by many REALLY independent politicians who conducted their own polls (f.e. Navalny and his team, Maxim Katz). According to Katz, out of the 31,000 people who participated in his survey, 29,000 refused to answer.

Secondly, I would like to point out that sociology doesn't work during the war. The aggressive side (in this case, Russia) uses formative sociology. Its goal is not to find out the truth, but to manage public opinion. Simply put, it's a propaganda tool which aims to form the necessary ideas and perceptions among the population.

Once again, I do not want to say that Russia and the russians are not to blame. I just want to show that the situation is more ambiguous and that we don't know if russians support this war.
