I, uh... I don't know. Sometimes I watched a loading screen for a really long time. Sometimes I clicked on some things and there were numbers coming out of them and then I got cards. Then I sold those cards and bought some games. So... I guess I did alright.

Eh, I tried to hop between rooms for the last 3 days and still couldn't end up in a 100M room. They were always filled. Ended up being on 50mil+.

Bumping because I wish they would bring this back.

I'd rather not, it quickly turned from being funny into being a total script-fest additionally bumped by Valve themselves adding more and more levels to achieve. Concept was good, and if they stopped when they planned initially, it could end nice, but because we reached original goal so fast, they kept bumping it till 100M. I for one didn't have fun joining the same room with other 999 redditor scripters farming 100M. It's like the most boring grindfest you've seen, but here you didn't even have some hidden goal for it, yet everybody was going crazy over 100M badge doing everything they can to get it.

Haha, that was the fun part though! It was a weird community that spawned out of this pointless game. I personally had a blast throughout the whole event.

I thought about going for the wormhole back then. Hearing what it was like to go for it now I'm extra glad I didn't.

Instead I just I stopped when I saw the level I was at had a penguin that I might like to see whenever I go to my profile.

I don't see it having monster-clicker event. Also noone talked about hype, they just want back an event, Don't act like it hurts you.

I rather have the deep discounts back.

Now with same discounts from start to finish a lot of publishers don't make aggressive discounts anymore.

If it can sell for a longer time for more, why make a better discount?!

Ditto. Those extra discounts from the flash sales got me to buy a whole lot more than in sales since they ended.

As time goes on Valve just keeps making changes that result in me buying from them less and less.

No kidding. There was a feeling that truly anything could have an insane discount on a flash sale.

Same, but I don't see Valve doing anything even remotely fun again.

Don't worry, you will have a lot of fun browsing your discovery queue.

Oh god please no! If I ever have to play a clickr "game" for 5 more minutes somebody is going to die.

I'll be honest, I actually don't enjoy clicker games either. However, something about this one-- the time limit, the organic community, the desire to push the limit... I don't know, it was simple, stupid fun 🙃

Kinda a shame the hall of fame page broke partially, with several avatars gone missing since then... Still hoping for a similar event sometime, even if it's not the exact same or an entirely different kind of game... It was fun in a lot of ways, but another type of game could be nice too.

Yeah, I'm curious as to why we haven't seen a game-like thing since ☹️

Because script-kiddies (like, for example, me ;) ) trying to get to 100M means valve has to pay more for servers :D

Valve worked with us on that though, they kept giving us more tools to push the limit even more.

I wonder how far we could have gotten if we didn't get stopped at 1 million? *gazes into infinity*

What if you are playing with a controller or keyboard only?

Ehh I would hope not. sarcasm there?

The problem is that it is/was mostly mindless, and that's not at all what I want out of a game. To each their own I guess, but my idea of fun is not really how fast or efficiently I can click/hit a damn button or that being the focus of the experience (and a tedious one at that).

Personally, I think the Potato Sack ARG was probably the most interesting thing that Valve came up with.

I doubt that this could even be called a game. xD

Semantics :P

Really though, the "game" was much larger than the actual program itself.
