The Witcher Series is fab! Now reading the first novel after the short stories. Love it :D

Yes! Actually I liked those short stories more than the novels, but the whole witcher world is totally great.
Don't forget to read "witcher season of storms" which was written years after witcher saga, also there is a little story of Geralt and Yennefer marriage, which made me laugh lots of times :) shamefully I don't know if it's translated to other languages

Saddly, all I found is this, but it doesn't seem to be full version

the title is "Something ends, something begins", it's just 17 pages

yeah well, the whole audiobook is 1h6min...

Have you read The Iron Heel by Jack London and We by Zamyatin ?
I haven't read Cat's Cradle yet, but I've read other novels from Vonnegut. Slaughterhouse-Five is really great and Player Piano is interesting as well.

I'm in the middle of "Summerland," by Michael Chabon, a truly odd book - it mixes baseball, fairies, the trickster Coyote, and the end of the world in a light, fun, completely unexpected way. Especially the baseball.

I'm mostly into fantasy novels and my favourite is the Witcher series. I'm going to read the last book of the series after my exams and soon afterwards i can start enjoying the games based on the novels. Also the netflix series that's coming soon.
Futu.re might be a good one even if it's a bit futuristic.

Didn't know there was a Netflix series! Thanks!

Also, check out The Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny if you like fantasy. I absolutely loved these books.

Reading George Orwell's, A Clergyman's Daughter now. Never knew it existed until I came across it in the library. Very different to 1984, but very good nonetheless.

I just finished The Plague, from Albert Camus.

It's about a city named Oran that got infected with a plague.

The book is a metaphor for the nazi occupation (the author was in the french resistance; he saw the nazism like a "faceles evil", like the plague itself). But what's really interesting about it is how its characters deals with the plague: some will run, some will fight, some will even be happy about.
He writes the book so well, I just loved it and recommend it.

it's the most popular russian book of all time! but don't bother to read, it's satire on soviet society which is not clear to foreigners. Crime and punishment or smth like that is more universal

I thought War and Peace would be more popular, but it's indeed a very unique book.
They actually teach it in high school, but I don't think students at that age get the meaning.

Thanks for the GAs.

As for books recommendations, I bought S. some years ago and I am finally starting to read it: it's a story within a story withing a story, it's great but it require actual commitment to be enjoyed. Another unconventional book that, as an Italian myself, I am urged to suggest you, is If on a winter's night a traveler by I. Calvino.

Thanks! I love russion authors. My recommendation is not a novel but it contains parts of novels: The Mind's I (D. Dennet - H. Hofstadter). It's a fluid and very interesting essay on consciousness and artificial intelligence. Must read imho :D

Thank you for the nice puzzle and the gibs! I haven't read a book for some time, I just got busy and want to focus on other hobbies. One of my favourite books is Norwegian Woods by Haruki Murakami, I read it in high school and it left an impression on me. One book I really liked was Oh, Boy! by Marie-Aude Murail (sorry, the only article about the book I can find in English is this one), it's a French children's book. When I have more time I would love to read more.
