I've a FX 6300 CPU with MSI 970 Gaming Mobo and a 4 year old gpu gt 630 XD
So it's time to update my gpu, I've selected this gpu(Poll) according to my budget.
If there's any better gpu than this cards(Same price category) Feel free to suggest, Thank you!

ASUS Strix GTX 960 4GB

I would go for an 8GB version myself ? of the 480 - so not voted :)

A Radeon RX 460 would be enough, with anything more powerful than that you could be CPU limited.
Also, you should choose something with 6/8 GB of VRAM, if the price difference isn't too much.

8 gb version cost more than $200, And I've to upgrade my psu too, So I'll have to stick with 4gb. Thx for ur suggestion.

What's your budget, exactly? And where will you buy?
Maybe we could fit a decent GPU with at least 6 GB within it.

Budget is around $200-250 for gpu and $70 for PSU

GTX 970 or RX480, stay away from the GTX960, it has an awful $/fps ratio.

+1 960M (mobile) owner agrees.

i think the majority of the votes may still end up going there though from amd haters. (not that i am one of them)

Never saw anything as stupid as hate or love for GPU's or CPU's, it is all about performance per dollar, it is that simple. Driver-wise, AMD has been doing amazing since the initiation of Crimson, except for handful of games, the difference is negligible.

agree, personally owned them about evenly. i really do not think i could of gotten any closer to 50/50 on either gpu or cpu =)

If it's an RX 480, the PowerColor Red Devil is one of the best choices, the Sapphire Nitro is kind of loud.
If possible take 8GB versions of the GPUs. I would not take the GTX 960, it's too slow.
The RX 470 is not a bad choice to go for :)
Does the GTX 1060 cost more in your country? I would pick the RX480 anyways, but it's still a good choice

RX 470 IF you do not need/do not have budget for 8gb RX 480 If you have more money then that, then get a 1060 6gb.
3gb on 1060 is not enough and 6gb version is actually more powerful(not just more ram)

If u play triple A games i would wait until u can afford a 1060 or better its not worth it buying a 200$ video card

I bought a 970 and i also regret it now when i look at the newer cards that came out 3 months later they i would have been able to buy a 1070 instead of a 970 so

Dont get me wrong gtx 970 is a really good card but i would love to upgrade to 1440p

Frankly I've waited around 2 years or so to get a new gpu. I've brought this pc 8 months ago and couldn't buy a new gpu because of budget :(. And was running it with old gt630 which can run latest games, but very low fps :D which cause lags. Now I've got some money to buy a new budget gpu like rx 480/470/460 :). Every year/month they release new gpu/cpu. Since I can't upgrade my PC every year/month. I start getting satisfied with my regular spec :P. Thanks for your suggestion, appreciate that.

Nah i just mean a gtx 960 will maybe last u another 2 years a 1060 probably atleast another 4 years
It just saves u money in the long run.

And they wont be releasing new cards soon atleast nvidia wont maybe a 1080ti and the titan x (2)

Out of these? The 480. If you don't mind waiting to save more, its probably worth it. The new Pascal NVIDIA cards (1060 or above) pack a serious punch. The difference in generations is pretty incredible. With Xmas and such coming up, theres bound to be sales or promotions for them.

Another option is to look at refurbs or used. A GPU is not a PSU or motherboard and is generally safer to look at used/refurbs as an option if you're smart about where you buy it. There are a lot of people who have upgraded and are selling their 970s etc. for lower than the price of the new ones that you're seeking out. Just buy from a buyer that has a good reputation or from a company with a good return policy. The current card I have is a 970, but before it I had a R9 270 that I used for almost 2 years that I had bought used on Ebay. It was a great card for me and is still kicking as I sold it to a friend after I upgraded.

I just got this pc around 8 months ago. If I've to get a new intel cpu and a new motherboard, Then I guess I'll have to forget about pc gaming and have to switch into mobile gaming XD Budget is the problem here :P

"I have", not "I've" since there is no auxiliary verb.
Anyways, you don't say your budget, but the 470 is a good choice.
