I would love this option as well. As for me, I'm not really into puzzle games.

It is probably one of the next best things they can do to improve filters.
Likewise, for example, if the 'not interested' lists from Steam ever became public, they should be implemented as a filter here too.

It might also help if they'd just let you sort the giveaways by genre, exctly as it's done in the "Sales" section. For exampl, only showing giveaways for adventure games like you can only show giveaways for games on wishlist. Since the genres should be already in the database for sales that should be fairly easy to implement as well.

First off ... I really love the new Steamgifts. That hide option is something I was hoping for for a long time.
What I still would love to see though ... an option to hide games based on category or Steam tag. For
example I already know that I don't like FPS, Anime or RPGMaker stuff, so it'd be cool if I could filter them by
just that, instead of having to hide every last one of them one by one. Possible override by wishlist, so if you
dislike all RPGs exept Skyrim, just put it on your wishlist.
