it's a first person stealth game. So it is FPS either way. :)

Get Payday 2, It's worth it. Better to wait until a flash sale though, the game might get cheaper (75% off).

+1 wait until June 29th to get it if it doesn't become a flash sale, daily sale, or community choice.
EDIT: Also, I generally enjoyed the game. You do have to be into FPS and Team play and if you are, then you should enjoy it. Play the Payday 2 demo before you buy it though. Of course, playing with bots as teamates is a pain.

I'm gonna get all the DLCs (except for the Big Bank) if it's discounted to 75% :D

+1 The game is fun, really fun during the first 70 levels after that its become too repetitive and you taxing, i got to like level 95 and i just go bored from doing the same thing over and over seeing as there are only like 4 missions that give you sufficient exp to even be worth your time.

If you wait for Flash or Daily sale, we are doing a Group Buy for 4-pack, so the game will be even cheaper, in case you are interested.
There are 2 slots taken already.
You could be the third. Let me know if you are interested. Anyway, we have to wait till Flash sale or Daily.
Have a nice day :)

You should jump on board of this, OP, if you want to get it.

Ask him in that forum
We already set the 4 pack slots for now. But there are more people asking for it. So maybe he will do it, just ask in that forum.
Good luck :)

Get it (when it is on Flash Sale for 75%, only for money saving reasons)!
Good FPS, can be played in chunks (10, 15, 30 min, or hours!), RPG elements, pretty good community of players, involved game designers with continuing development planned.

While it can be somewhat repetitive and grindy, it is by no means a bad game. Some people might like it more than others, but it is an objective based co-op fps. If you like that genre, you'll probably enjoy it. Payday 2 is probably a better pick than Payday: The Heist, it's easier and there are more people online to play with, if you so choose. But if you do want to get either or both; wait for a Community, Flash, or Daily sale, or the last day...

I find it pretty awesome, if you have a microphone. One of my friends already played Payday and through Payday I met like 5 more people who are now on my friendslist. Playing one or two heists in the evening is pretty awesome. Though, you should be one player who likes to stealth very much and even would spend seperate tries on stealthing. As the map layouts are randomised a bit, it does not really get repetitive. And if it gets, then there are more DLCs added. Personally, I have only played like 50% of the heists in 40 hours of playtime and still like to play more.

I just got PayDay 2 and some DLCs and am playing mostly solo at the moment to get some exp and as a challenge to stealthing places >:)
If you like FPS and being a bit tactical rather than guns a-blazing, then you will like this game. I've seen a lot of footage of in-game play with co-op and solo on Youtube and I suggest to do this, as you will get a good idea of how game-play is. If you enjoy co-op then there seems to be a very big community on Steam and I notice games popping up on the CrimeNet in-game (which is where you can start solo and co-op contracts in real time).
The soundtrack is amazing, and overall it has a lot of little side things to do -like weapon mods, masks, outfits. There are 4 specialisation trees that you put points in to improve things like ammo, ECM Jamming, healing on-scene, etc. Overall, I recommend the game, there seems to be some longevity in it beyond the base and DLCs if you enjoy building up a character and challenging yourself in different ways beyond the standard "go in, complete, game over"

It gets repetitive, but it's fun to play with friends in short bursts. I had a lot of connectivity problems with the game at first where I would just randomly disconnect, but I fixed it by doing this:
Try 'ipconfig -release' in the command promt, and once you lose connection to Steam, type 'ipconfig -renew'."
This does not clear your DNS cache.. To clear that, type < ipconfig /flushdns > instead...
Also, try clearing your ARP table and resetting your TCP/IP stack like so:
netsh int ip del arp
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
These commands all require administrator rights, so make sure to either be logged in as an admin. user, or right click on your CMD prompt shortcut, and click "Run as administrator" before trying these out.
Do these three, in this order, after removing the power from your router for at least 10 seconds. Restart your PC, and put the power for your router back in as it boots up.

Should I get Payday 2 or the first one? Or not get any? Can anyone give me their honest opinion?
