I'm not ready to give up yet! I'll put myself forward once more for rejection consideration!

We do have them, though you have to have some tuna and exchange some of them from Kal, our residential fat cat.
However, join the revolution, and we've got several other alternative sources here and there to support your nut addiction (in exchange of you helping us bring down weeb tyrant, Archi).

Well, thanks for the heads up about Touhou 16 release on Steam! I've been a bit out of the loop on them Japanese things so I'd probably miss out on it for months otherwise. Funny thing is that a few weeks ago I was thinking it was sad there were no Touhou games on Steam and ended up buying Ikaruga for some shmup goodness, just to give up soon after because of the game's confusing system :P
I came here just to post the above, but now I'm thinking, it wouldn't hurt to apply for the group, right? Here's a short introduction, to the best my sleepy self can do: I grew up around video games and anime and have been a fan of those for as long as I can remember. I really love games that require time and effort to master, music games being my favourite. Though I sadly had to drop them because of lack of time among other things, so I've been a lot more casual about my gaming lately. I'm a bit of a math and science nerd and studied electronic engineering. Currently helping run my family's business and trying to decide what to do with my life.
As for the requirements, you might notice from my Steam and SG profiles I've been quite inactive the past weeks, I've been quite busy sorting some things out but I'll be done by the end of the month, so that won't be a problem. And for participating, I got to say I'm quite shy, but well, once I'm familiarized with the people I'm really talkative! TBH I've been trying to find a place to fit in since I quit playing a game I was really into and left the community back in May, if I can get in maybe it could be the place I've been looking for all along? :3
I think that's about it. Sorry if I've been going for way too long, and I really appreciate the chance for being part of your group! :)

You don't have to be in the group to join the community!
Go ahead and join us in the chat, as long as you don't mind our oddness (weeb-ness, playfulness, spaminess, etc), we won't mind your companionship! ^~^

Like I said in the post, I'm a somewhat timid person, so I wouldn't really feel right just going there, even with the open invite in the first post. But since I got personally invited, sure, I'll check it out soon! Thank you for the encouragement :)

Well, nothing like the last minute here, but I read the rules today, and I think that I'd like to join.
Reasons to consider me as a candidate:
Anyway, I hope that gives you good reason to consider me part of the crew. I really dig that this is a close-knit group that gets to know one another and regularly communicates. Having friends out in the world (even if they remain mostly virtual) that share common interests is really fun. I look forward to meeting archibot -- he seems like a swell guy. 😀😎
Cheers,
Grez

As usual we start with touhou swing for jbondo...
Touhou Recruitment
Or rather "we're looking for new friendly folks that would like to join us on our group chat and talk about vidya we don't play, SG rants we're calling out and public giveaway events we're about to organize".
What is Touhou Giveaways?
The Touhou Giveaways group was founded by Archi on February 18th 2015. We're small, ratio-based group, sharing the spirit of giving away and winning games on SteamGifts. You might already recognize us from awesome events that we organize from time to time, or from our deadly AI that is keeping everybody in shape.
We have implemented many unique features into the simple concept of a private giveaway group, and today we are probably the most "technologically advanced" group that exists on SG. The objective is simple: the group should be a nice addition to the SteamGifts community and should require no extra effort from the member. Therefore, apart from the group on Steam we have a bot, chat, website, userscript, daily gaming sessions, touhou radio, SG events and a friendly community that is always happy to help, chat and get along with.
All group giveaways are tracked by our bot, which automatically handles everything - adding new giveaways to the database, spotting winners, calculating points and ratio, detecting current/finished giveaways, preparing statistics, and much more. We even reward members with our very own touhou achievements for creating and joining giveaways! Our group is fully automated, and thanks to that, our members can focus on having fun participating in the community activities instead of being forced to waste time manually keeping track of all of that themselves. This way everybody is happy to make giveaways the same way as public or invite-only ones, and ArchiBoT does everything else. We even created our own userscript which enhances further SG experience, because we value THAT much our small community.
To make the precious data gathered by the bot available for the members, we also coded our very own Touhou Giveaways website, which acts as a "frontend" to the data gathered by the bot. Members can check their stats, ongoing giveaways, points and many other useful information we provide in a nice, fancy and modern way. We even have a shop with some extra neat features, where you obtain coins by participating in giveaways and earning achievements. Capitalism, ho!
We're always actively working on improving our group even further. Many things are being added and improved as the time goes. It's not possible to list them all, as we're constantly bringing up new ideas how to further enhance our group and ensure that it's the best possible SG group experience that can ever happen to SG user. Everybody has a say in here, if there is a rule we don't like, then we're getting rid of that and replacing it with something better. If there is ongoing conflict or issue with something specific, we're working together on solving it in calm atmosphere. If there is any idea raised by somebody that could improve the group, we're doing everything we can to make it happen.
Group goals
Touhou Giveaways is not a typical giveaway group that can be found on SG - we're more like our own small community of people that like spending time with each other, be it by chatting, playing or discussing SG
rantsdiscussions. We actively focus on the community aspect of the group - everybody knows each other, we chat together, play together and win giveaways together. If you treat SG group as a source of games only, or how I like to call it - "anonymous gifters", most likely this group is not for you. However, if you're looking for a new place to hang out, with a bunch of friendly people gathered around SG and giveaways spirit, then this is exactly what you're looking for.The actual group rules might seem like complicated at first, but in reality they were carefully designed and improved since start of the group in order to be as liberal as possible. This includes things such as being possible to stay active in the group by just giving away free (in terms of Touhou value) games, ability to use custom rules for your giveaways (e.g. ensuring winners will play it), or flexible system allowing you to modify value of your giveaway as you see fit while it's running. Every rule has practical purpose, and if you're confused about any of them or have further questions, just let us know and we'll be happy to answer.
I highly recommend joining us on the chat if you want to get more info, ask a question, or simply talk with us. Doing so will greatly increase your chances of joining, while at the same time finding out if you like our companionship or not. We don't force any member or a candidate to stay on our chat for the entire time, but no interaction with group members apart from SG is rather discouraged and decreases your overall member potential. We value you as a person and how much happiness you can bring by your presence - we do not judge you based on SG ratio, number of giveaways, or a level. In fact, we're up for inviting people we can have nice chat and fun with, rather than L10 "generous gifters" that consider themselves elite above everybody else. Remember - community first, giveaways second.
Chat is always open for everybody, including our members, people interested in joining, as well as lurkers, eternal guests and those who simply like our companionship. Don't be afraid of joining if you'd like to, regardless if you want to join the group or not - everybody is welcome, and it's a great place to make some new friends. Why not give it a try?
Members expectations
We're looking for members who:
Please notice that those are only "guidelines" who we're looking for, you don't need to fill all of them, as the only "real" requirement is having 2+ level on steamgifts, but due to the fact that there is always a massive amount of people applying, the more you fit our concept of the member, the bigger the chance of you making it in. It's important to note that our group is not weebs-exclusive one and you don't need to have any interest or knowledge about Touhou, anime or anything else to be eligible for joining - it's you as a person that matters, and if you like our companionship. We're here to have a great time together, ArchiBoT is in charge of making it possible to happen :3.
If you consider yourself a good addition, do not wait and try your luck, as the next recruitment will be handed out not sooner than in 3 months from now. Tell us why you would like to join the group, and why you consider yourself as a good candidate. We accept applications in this thread, which doesn't have to be super-long or CV-like, but telling a few words about yourself is greatly appreciated. The more effort you put into this, the bigger the chance you'll make it in, and this is why you're here in the first place, so make it count!
After the deadline, all applications that meet initial requirements (rules) will be reviewed by our staff - candidates who get most points in our private staff voting will get an invite to the marvelous world of Gensokyo, together with personal introduction done by one of our staff members. We will slowly introduce you into our community and teach everything you need to know to have a great fun not only on SG, but on Steam as well.
This is not a speed-run - we choose new recruits after the deadline, so it's very usual case to see over 30+ people applying for 10 slots that we prepared in the group. That's pretty normal, so don't be afraid of posting, we're looking for quality, not quantity - show us your best!
If you're confused, or you'd like to take a look how our previous recruitment looked like, please click here. You can also read our introduction for new and interested members, which explains further group and various details, although if you make it in, you'll get more familiar with how things work, so don't have an impression like it's hard because of this wall of text - I can assure you that it's not.
If you have some additional questions, it would be best if you joined our chat and asked - somebody for sure will be happy to answer, and explain in details particular subject you're interested in. You can also ask in the thread if you'd like to.
Or maybe you know one of our members already? Why not ask him about his group thoughts? :3

This recruitment
Currently we're looking for up to 10 new members.
Here you can find a giveaway that is open for everybody.
We're accepting applications until the giveaway above ends. If you meet our initial group requirements, you'll be listed as valid candidate (linked to your application) below. Being a candidate does not guarantee getting invited, that's also why there is no limit of candidates. Feel free to check previous recruitment linked above if you'd like to see how it works in detail.
After the deadline, we'll organize inner group staff voting and pick lucky winners out of valid candidates, based on our sole discretion (which is based mostly on our expectations stated above). When the voting ends, all results will be announced, together with the list of people that made it in. If you were chosen, you can expect a friend invite on Steam from one of our staff members soon afterwards.
If you decide to apply, please state it clearly so we won't have any doubts if you're interested in joining or just casually posting - we can't read your mind yet. If you miss being considered as a candidate due to non-obvious comment, you'll be the only one to blame :3.
Good luck and I hope to see you soon on our Touhou Giveaways chat!
