[HIB] "Click the button to redeem on Steam"

If anything messes up, just send a ticket, I'm sure they can do something about it.

You just lose the key, a friend of mine did it by mistake.

I was going to say you lose the key and I was going to show a screenshot of one of my pages where it says something like "product already owned on account" or something like that, but upon looking through all my past humble bundle pages none of them have that. So maybe I didn't lose the keys and upon refresh that goes away. idk. It would require further investigation.

Anyone know what was the first bundle to have this? Maybe I just didn't check the right bundles and I missed whatever bundle was the first on my huge list of humble bundles in my profile...

I have had more than one instance where I will redeem a game I already own, seems like the system isn't foolproof. Sometimes it will say that the game is already on the account, other times it will use the key even though you already own it. I contacted HIB support and they reverted the key redeem so there is obviously something wrong with it!

I've had mixed reactions with this,

I've bought tons of bundles and sometimes redeem full keys just for additional DLC content, just because it was easier than keeping track of them. I've generally had no issues with the system. It would say "Your Steam Account already owns this game" if there was nothing to give me or increase my DLC by some amount. The only case where I had any issues was with Gemini Rue this time around. (All the other games I already had [Little Inferno, Bards Tale, Solar 2] gave the message "Your Steam Account already owns this game").

Gemini Rue however redeemed again, but I did not see any change to my steam library. (Especially since there isnt any DLC) From this I'd like to think that the issue is related to how wadjeteye games packaged it and not something humble intentionally did. I know a lot of games on steam have bugged pages (ie. A Game of Dwarves), or multiple depots so I'm not surprised some games can be redeemed twice. My copy of Gemini Rue was probably from one of the earliest bundles, so that may be the issue too.

I did the same with Garris Mod and a girl from support brought it back to my HB account.

answer is - it tell me that I already own the game

It just wont let you redeem it, saying that you already own the game.
