Legend of Grimrock, is it good?

I haven't been able to try it yet (FFFFUUUUU Dial-Up), but to promote it's launch I'm giving away a copy of the game to one lucky (or clever) player.

To enter the giveaway, you must solve this puzzle.

There are two components to this puzzle, and the first is listed below.

To begin with, you must retrieve five of the numbers situated throughout this map.

Have a nice, Griddy map, for your perusal

Your start point may be any of the squares marked with S?, however, there is only one true starting point, which these instructions work from.

A map is hardly much help without some instructions, right?

After getting all the required numbers, your task is partway done! ...But what are these numbers for? Well, you'll probably be able to figure it out.

Oh, one last thing. The numbers aren't necessarily in the same order they are for the code. Just as in traditional RPGs and Roguelikes, you're gonna need to "reroll" and get lucky ;)

After spending more than a couple hours last night in Grimrock, I have to say that it's damn good and does live up to the hype. Ten years in development, but this ain't no DNF.

Yeah I have the 5 and tried some "obvious" permutations but bugger running through an expected average 60 tries to get it. :/

Heck, I already have Grimrock, just doing the puzzle for fun. :p

I think i'm having trouble following the instructions for the map... I can't seem to end up with a path to my right... (for the first ''path'') Am i doing it wrong ? Could someone explain to me how to floow these instructions ? Like, if he says turn right, do i simply turn right and not go trough the door or do i go trough the door ?
