Title I guess.

A while ago purchases bounced back to store front when I tried to complete my purchase. I contacted support who told me I am using a disposable e-mail address and therefore it won't work. When I told them I am not, I am using same Bahnhof-mail I have been using since I became a customer there years ago, they bumped the ticket up a level, and it was sorted for me.
Now it happened again, and this time they say it's no-go, I have to get a new address to keep on purchasing, and added it's my fault, it has nothing to do with them. Exact phrase being ''We are sorry but unfortunately it not depend on us and you have to use another email.''
I went all old-man-on-the-webz-angry and answered that this was unacceptable, they have clearly changed their monitoring software and something is falsely flagging my e-mail as disposable, but that got me nowhere. Not even an answer, in fact.

Yeah, I give up. Indiegala isn't that great anyway, and I was already irritated with them for sending a lot of mails with offers of free games, but just regurgitating the same games over and over again. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate free games as much as anyone, however, I don't appreciate spammy e-mails claiming there's a pot of gold if I only click this link just to find the same pot I got last time....

I've asked them to delete my account and purge their e-mailing list of my address so I guess I'll be spending my money elsewhere from now on. Not that that is a problem, there is over 9000 other sites happy to accept my e-mail address...

Anybody else have same issue with them lately?

EDIT:
Account deleted.

do you pay with paypal and is your email for paypal the same one. i know some people had issues with feebay a few years ago if they had 2 emails, 1 on feebay and the other on paypal.

I've had nothing but good experiences dealing with their support (Paula) over the years.

As suggested, try using an account that matches your Paypal email address. They can't claim that's a disposable email.

I do, it's the same one. I only use one mail.

It's rather old issue. I had the similar story many years ago with them, they didn't accept one of my email addresses. Okay, I switched acc to another email and had no problems since. This is not your fault or their fault, this is probably a security issue with the soft they're using that thinks (for some reason) that your mail server is not trustworthy.

Every time I'm ready to turn on berserk mode about such things, I remember how the sysadmins from my old workplace made (legitimate as they said!) corporate mail configuration, with a simple thing: the server had a name like mail... , but the ip-address for some internal reason was belonged to its alias mail2...
We hit almost every blacklist around! :)

It is weird though. I mean, there needs to be some manual input, when users start notifying them they are erroneously blocking one of the big ISP's of Scandinavia (perhaps more areas?) as ''disposable'' they should perhaps start to think something is wrong and unblock it manually. At least while they figure out what is going wrong there.

LOL!
Sounds like a irritating issue....

As they said "It not depend on us" , so I guess they cannot solve it manually. As the store with bundles is a side business for them (formally), hardly they have a specialists who investigate such issues closely.

It could have been, but they solved it in a week or so, not much damage was done. Just another funny story of IT department

It may not be the domain that's triggering the "disposable" categorisation, but the username (or a combination of username and domain). I received a disposable email error when I used an address that was something like 'email.ig@example.com' on my own domain, but 'detruire@example.com' worked fine.

Kind of amazing to see considering how they should be aware that the EU is so zealous about that stuff that even a single fine could potentially kill the whole business. That shit really is the definition of Chaotic Evil, huh?

I have ended up with several email addresses on their mailing list over the years, and have never had any trouble unsubscribing via the unsubscribe links in the emails. None of the unsubscribed addresses have mysteriously ended up back on the list, either.

The support at IG can be good or very crappy. Depends much on with which leg "Paula" stand up. They have none else or all use the same alias.

I had soon ago the problem with a dupe key, the winner had the same problem short before, her dupe was replaced and for mine i got a "the purchase is more then 60 days ago, so not our problem, contact the dev (no contact infos given)".
Because i bought in 1 year+ 1 or 2 bundles i decided that is now the moment to stop to make there purchases.

Besides the fact that their "Free games" are partly "free" without the consent of the dev.
I know one dev that contacted them, after i informed him about it, with the info that he is the dev of the games, that they share his games as freebies without his permission and that he want to know on which way they got them. They wrote him from which party they have got them (a shitty """publisher""", that hadn't the permission to crack his games and give them away for free), they don't care, they don't take the freebies down and he isn't willing to pay a lawyer to handle the problem with them. A shop that i trust, react different as that.

3 years ago were IG different and i would not be surprised if they go bankrupt in the near future.

IndieGala is pretty much the bottom of the barrel for everything. Ever since they deleted my account for inactivity with like 20-30 unclaimed games on it, I just decided to not even bother. Their support did nothing to help either, only stonewalling me by saying they can't do anything. They're just comically inept. Only good thing about it is that their site already manages to boast that they have the worst deals in the market, so nothing really lost.

Just cut and run, I'd say.
