we germans are through with him.
our consumer advice center is gonna sue valve to force them to make games in our library tradeable and his statemant was "oh yeah, those guys want to make steam accounts negotiable or something like that".

I still think it's pretty dumb that people can't accept the fact that they buy something and can't resell it. That's like vomiting coke back into can so they can resell it and save money.

nobody seems to care about the developers. do you honestly think making games tradable will improve anything?!
nope, it won't, devs will stop making retail games as they don't gain anything when people resell their games.
If they really get their way the future will be mostly free to play.

reselling/giving away used games worked before teh mighty interwebZ and DRM, and still working to this very day with almost every console game and some PC titles.

that's one of the major reasons why so many people prefer console gaming over PC gaming, despite the fact that consoles are merely limited and restricted computers.

I think the intent is that game trading/reselling of digital is going to put a big hurt on a lot of indie developers. Who have really been driving the Steam scene lately.
