Edit: Some of the rules on this site seem to be up to the discretion of the mods though, so there's no guarantee that the thread won't get closed. There have been some controversial topics on here in the past that were allowed, but I don't recall if there were any similar to what you are asking about. I would imagine if the comments were kept somewhat civil and the thread doesn't get too out of control, it would probably be fine.
