Why SHOULDN'T I buy Borderlands 2?

Thats the kin of game you have t play with friends to really apppreciate it i think. At least thats how i enjoy it^^

I had the same issue where I started it and was really bored with it fast so I abandoned it. Then I tried it again and just stuck out the first bit of it (waited until I got some good guns and gear) and it got a lot better. Now I have 40 hours in it and I'm still not done. (I play solo btw).

because it's so damn boring , even when you play with your friends , used my friend's account to play and I will never buy Borderlands =\

Its not really a game for soloing as it get s really repetitive and boring when playing by yourself, only get it if you have a group of friends you can play with as that is when the game is the most enjoyable, otherwise skip it.

I enjoyed it quite a lot myself and its a cheap one atm so worth and it will keep u busy for quite a while

It's a great game. I played it solo and put in a number of hours by myself, but it's even better with people. I'd tell you go with GOTY because there's no reason not to buy it :]

You shouldn't buy Borderlands 2, if you haven't bought the first yet!
(You can play just 2 but you'll miss lot of references and feelings ;) )

If it felt boring to you then you shouldn't buy it. It's waste of money. You will probably end up with a game you hate on your library.

Just because others enjoy the game doesn't mean you will as well. If you found it boring to play then I'd suggest not buying it, stick with your initial impression. Assuming you can, I'd suggest trying it again at your friends in a different part of the game and see if you change your mind. There is no need to rush, it has been on sale before and will (most likely) be again. If you do decide you like the game pick it up during the next sale, perhaps you will even win it here first instead.

I bought the base game cause i got that valentines dlc for free somewhere.
I played for a while alone, got bored but then i bought the Goty.
Played with some new skins and stuff. then got bored despite the humor.
Might play it again soon but its somewhere under my backlog now.

Why not buy BL2?
Because it is the kind of game that needs several hundreds of hours of investment and repetitive boss farming for 3-10% drop chances of a gun that has a 10% chance to be the variant you are farming for to make it fun in the long run. It is, in many game design aspects, an MMO without the massive multiplayer part.

Don't buy it. Even in Coop with friends it has some long boring parts. Can't even imagine playing this solo...

If you don't have at least 1 friend to play with, DO NOT buy it. It is very boring when you play solo. This game is all about coop plaing, while speaking through Skype or Teamspeak
But if you find that friend, buy goty, it have good dlc with pirates, and another one with skeletons

It's repetitive. IMO. I lost interest after a while.

Meh I played it solo and it was really fun in the beginning but honestly the grinding element is just too prominent. Ive logged 38 hours but there's no way I'm playing much more than that :P It's a good time-waster but nothing of intrinsic value was gained by playing this game solo.

If you felt it is boring then why are you even asking wether to buy it or not?
