Okay, first off I would like to excuse myself for being unfamiliar with the ways this site works sometimes. But screw that.

So, the main problem I have is that I sometimes solve puzzles or hints in the discussion page to various trains or single gibs and I get that code, consisting od letters or numbers. I always use the given format of upper and lower case and I duoble-check them, but if I enter steamgifts.com/giveaway/XXXXX, I get to a 404 page, telling me that page doesn't exist. And I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Sadly, I am too poor to provide a proper GA to thank anyone who would help me, so have some nice music instead:

(Oh, and how do I format links to be shown as custom texts?)

Put a / at the end of your link, after the XXXXX part, and it works. :)

steamgifts.com/giveaway/XXXXX/

That slash at the end is all you need. As for comment formatting, check this

I was looking for that page but didn't find it, thank you! At least the latter problem is now solved. :D

If you put the right letters and/or numbers and you also put a / in the end, the link will surely work.

If you are redirected to the main page, you must have entered the wrong code. If it's "Page not found. Return home." and even by adding "/" at the end it doesn't work, you must have made a typo in the "steamgifts.com/giveaway/" part or didn't use 5 letters/numbers for the code.

Oh, fk... I just realised what I did wrong all the time... I wrote "giveaways" instead of "giveaway"....

Invite only giveaways have to have "/" after the code to work. Sometimes the code you get isn't for a giveaway but for a closed discussion, so try "www.steamgifts.com/discussion/XXXXX/".

That's if you get a 5 character code. If you get 8 character code then it's probably for ItsTooHard or Jigidi.
