So I got this today. In case the text is too small to read, the message the guy included in the trade offer says "Do it or i kill you!"

I've already reported the trade as a scam, but should I also report the person for harassment? I'm kind of tempted to childishly send a counter-offer that's equally terrible for him saying something along the lines of "Come at me bro", but I don't know if that's a good idea or if it'll invite him to harass me more or something.

Anyways, has anyone had an interesting experience with Steam trade offers?

EDIT: well I reported him and blocked him. Makes me wonder why someone who seems to have a decent amount of time playing TF2 and has some legitimate trades on outpost would suddenly try this on me.

He won't, tested it. But as to the thread, I agree with crazyalan1988, report and ignore. There are lots of children like him, so no worries.

You should cancel the offer and return him an equally ridiculous trade in your favor.

If you die in Dota, do you die in real life too?

I'd say, report and then ignore.

Report and ignore. Don't make a fuss about it, there's no point... If he kills you then again, there is no point in making a fuss about it...

So his IP can't be tracked.

If someone reports the new id and Steam decides to ban him, they can ban the old id as well since both ids use the same ip.

Using a vpn with this id and none with the previous one will make sure you avoid a ban :)

Goes without saying the he should use the browser and not the steam exe.

Woah, WOAH Buddy! Let's calm down now. We're not giving into this guys threats. Give him Skyrim: Legendary Edition or something, he doesn't deserve to receive the loving grace of Bad Rats and Bad Rats GOTY Edition.
