I mean that would depend on a few things.. but for me personally, I say no it's not and stick to 2

Yeah, the rebooted HITMAN series likes to be a total maze as far as games and DLCs fit together...
I don't know any other game for which someone made a guide about... buying the game :s (and it's definitely not useless)

You can play these episodes from within Hitman 3: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/4854/HITMAN__Game_of_The_Year_Edition/
The HITMAN 3 Access Pass system allows you to access HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 locations in HITMAN 3. Purchasing or redeeming this Access Pass will grant access to the locations from 'HITMAN 1-GOTY Edition' in HITMAN 3. You must own HITMAN 3 to access this content.

To be fair, it's not all the devs fault, it's also decision makers who say: just rush as fast as you can, we don't care about the file size (because we don't know how computers work, we just like to build "cool" things). At least that's how it is at my company, getting some time allocated to space optimization is virtually impossible unless enough customers start loudly complaining about it.

yea i can immagine that too..but sometimes would be fair they think about not wasting customers resources and think about a bit on comrpression\optimization....well i should try to free some space and delete\complete old stuff isntalled. thanks

Yeah I totally agree. I hate those huge software that obviously waste resources.
Sadly also, many devs are actually not quite tech-savvy (or at least "tech-clean"), and themselves tend to waste their own resources and/or don't mind installing crapware such as Postman. Or Go.

Thanks, it works!! just not showing on the library. I have to search the game on LibSearch :D

Found even more clarity on this for anyone who is wondering.
"If Hitman 3 is your first in the trilogy and you only want to unlock the levels from the first two games, the Access Passes available via the Hitman 3 in-game store tab in the main menu is your best bet. These will allow you to download all of the levels and story content into Hitman 3, letting you play through the entire trilogy in one game."

Can't say I've ever been that interested in the Hitman series yet I own some of the titles - or at least I think I do. I think this is a case of over complicating the chapters, naming, releases, dlc, demos etc that has made the series a bit of a mess. Not sure if they intentionally confuse things to capture a few extra sales - or perhaps it's not that nefarious, but does make me even less interested in playing the games.
