I hear you. The one time I went for this my game stranded on one of the "fall through the floor" spots and it frustrated me enough to not pick it up again. :-P

I wouldn't trust any of them to keep Gotham safe, to be honest.

Hey, could be worse. You could have gone for the Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing ones too...

I have all the achievements on Batman Arkham Origins on steam (I'm only missing a few medals as Bruce Wayne to finally be done with the game). I also did everything on Arkham Asylum and CIty (including getting all the medals as all the characters) but this was before I had an account on Steam.

Bloody hell, you completionist nutbag. Even with all the multiplayer stuff too. :-)

It all depends on how quickly I get people (and how many) but it's a safe bet it's not going to be more than two weeks from now, and it may be slightly less. That's enough time to finish the game three times, but I wouldn't recommend doing that just for this GA, unless you have fun the first time.
There's also the problem that it's quite easy to fake achievements for the technically inclined. While I'm not accusing you personally of cheating, it would be quite simple for motivated people to use a GA like this as an incentive to fake it, which is why I should probably restrict it to people who've achieved it before now.

Well, I think it's easy to check, especially because you will not have so much people to check.
I'm not into playing it just for the game, I'm an achievement hunter, and Batman series is on my list for a while now, but I was so tired of really starting it.
I really need to know if you are going to give a chance for real players that want to try it, because if not, I have a preference in starting by Arkham Asylum.

The number of people isn't really the issue, the issue is that I can't prove for anyone who gets the achievements now if they got them legit, or by carefully submitting the achievements for Arkham Origins in an automated fashion, to look just like a real achievement list. I checked, and it doesn't look particularly hard to do that -- and for some people, it would certainly be easier than completing the game three times. It's just that nobody would have a reason to bother with that before this GA (any faked achievement list before today will probably look obviously fake on inspection). So then what do I do -- demand video proof? Verify people's reputation by having others vouch for them? Make an exception for anyone who asks nicely? None of those things sound particularly attractive.

If I've learned anything it's that some people love the challenge of getting stuff they haven't earned and will sink as much or possibly more effort into it as what's required for getting it legit. Don't ask me why, I guess they're just wired that way. :-P
I'm going to take the pressure off for you and anyone else thinking about doing this last minute and just say it's open only to those who got it before today, as I don't feel confident enough in my own abilities to spot the real thing. So if you want to start off with Asylum, which I recommend doing anyway to get a feel for whether you'll like the whole series enough to grind for achievements, you should.

just started playing Arkham Origins, not in one of my play sessions i had a bug free experience, this is going to be fun.

There's at least one spot where the game can drop you through the bottom of the map right before saving. Pray you don't hit that, or make sure to make regular backups of your save games beyond what the game itself does. That's the only truly game breaking bug I know of that hasn't been patched; there's plenty of other weirdness, but nothing you can't recover from.

Hello sir, I'm proud to be Batman since cold snowy 19th Dec of 2013 @ 5:18pm.

You have my sympathies, playing the game before the major patches.

I actually am the night. Unfortunately I could never 100% Origins because of the stupid multiplayer achievements (and I also didn't have the dlc for the dlc achievements). But I did as many as I could.

The season pass should go for 5 bucks in the next sale -- the maps in Initiation and the story from Cold, Cold Heart are worth it at that price, I'd say, if you're even interested in ever reinstalling of course. :-)

I literally got the shivers when I read this. Unfortunately, I still have all the multiplayer achievements there. I can't find anywhere confirming your info. I actually find threads from just 10 months ago complaining about the achievements and offline servers. Maybe you're thinking about the servers that were nuked...? I don't know. But the achievements are still there.

I'm a big fan of Arkham games. Even though Origins is my least favorite one, I still played it quite bit and got all the single player achievements including I am the Night: https://steamcommunity.com/id/justAEA/stats/209000/?tab=achievements

Arkham Origins was actually my first game on steam, but I've barely played it. Finished asylum and city on console a long time ago and loved them.

Walked the path of caped crusader four times and ultimately fulfilled his mission.
Have all the Rocksteady's Batman Arkham titles on my account, finished everything back in the day when had so much free time on my hands... Wish I could spend it freely now, too. Oh, well.
Anyways, bump

Less than 48 hours between NG+ and IATN, which means you went right back in there to do it all over again... that's dedication. Added.

Fair warning that the whitelisting is entirely temporary and will be cleared again when all this is said and done. Normally both my WL and BL are empty. :-)
Thanks for my 500th heart, though!

Well it's on my to do list, but to be honest, the fact it had multiplayer achievements that are now unachievable knocked the wind out of my sails a bit. I have completely completed Knight and City though. I do enjoy the game though.

I never got that. Tried it multiple times, but always managed to miss a date before I uninstalled the game... So I guess in the end, my strongest opponent was Calendar Man.

Finish I Am The Night Mode
i beat the game like a year ago, but didn't get this cheevo. so you should remove the "Completing the game;" option :)

Yeah, um, those are not options -- they're the three things you have to do in succession. I'll change it to a numbered list...

Greets Nudiustertian, I'd like to enter your GA but with a SG support tag it makes it unclear if I'm on a whitelist or not. If you wouldn't mind would you check please and let me know if I'm listed on your whitelist? Thanks in advance. If not that's perfectly ok :) Thanks for your time.
Comment has been collapsed.
My whitelist is always empty, save for now, when I'm adding people who have the "I Am The Night" achievement. As you don't own Arkham Origins, you can't end up on my WL.
Custom rules aren't allowed on GAs anymore, or I'd add it as a requirement. :-)

Ok, thanks so much for clarifying this for me, it's appreciated :)

Np. Although if it's not a feature yet, they should really add some way of easily checking whether you're whitelisted or not as a support member. I can't imagine it's attractive to have to ask this every time...

When pressing the Enter Giveaway button, eligibility is checked and we actually get a "Permission Error" message.
It can be confusing though being able to see every giveway regardless of whitelist/blacklist status.

Yeah, a lot of practice. 203 hours. Challenge never unlocked on first play and I didn't discover that until most of the way through NG+. So start over. But with all those hours, knowing exactly where to go, how to get there fast, and how to quickly beat up mobs and bosses made it fast. So many many hours on those challenge maps.

Inspired by this, it got me wondering -- is there anyone here who has the "I Am The Night" achievement for Arkham Origins? (You can check directly here). As a reminder, this achievement is the one you get by:
As an incentive for sharing beyond bragging rights, if you have this, you can win -- well, anything really. I'll gather anyone to my whitelist who posts in this thread who can show that they got the achievement before 2018-06-17 (today), and where it seems reasonably likely that you didn't do so by cheating it in, subject to the judgement of me and the community.
If you've ended up on my whitelist as a result of this thread, enter this giveaway for chance to win something from your wishlist. Unless you truly are Bruce Wayne and already own everything on Steam, I suppose.
Normally I have some sort of consolation prize for people who don't qualify, but nothing springs to mind at the moment. Watch this thread, I guess, it's a work in progress.
True Caped Crusader count so far: 10
