I used to wonder if I was the only one that didn't like Nirvana. Back when this was new, everyone was listening to it. It came on the radio all the time, my friends all liked them, but I couldn't stand them, not just that song, everything about them.

Probably not. My theory is that if Cobain wouldn't have snorted himself to death, Nirvana would be considered simply a successful band of justly dead musical genre. I cannot really stand grunge either. To me, it always was the armchair "I'm so totally edgy because I say so" version of punk. (I don't like punk either, but at least they stand for something, not just being edgy because it is cool and stuff.)

Get to know a band, listen a few past albums, pick the one(s) I like and they go on repeat. New releases I hardly learn of. Too many to choose from with all the stuff that is out there. Nice Steam Background btw. what is that from?

Nah. There's metal I like but I cannot really be categorized. My Dying Bride, Samael and Russian Circles are probably the only bands I still like.
