Who are you? (A pool for statistical purposes)
Okay, so this is what I've noticed.
Always make sure you've disabled the shield. It's pointless.
With VAT, I've never had a need to pay it and I've never heard of consequences for not paying it. Your choice.
Find a seller that's reputable. And when you do, check his sales history and see what the negative/neutral transactions were about. Some people are just mad when their "5 random Steam keys" aren't AAA games, even if they paid 20 cents for it.
Just make sure that G2A shield is turned off. They'll bug you about it a fair few times. Very scummy in that front.
Otherwise it's a good store for some stuff.
(Dissapointed that I'm not on the poll, considering that I'm probably the most popular Zeruel on this site! ;_;)

Also the site acts like ebay, Just look for the cheapest seller with close to 100% reputation and a lot of sales. Often the negative reviews they get is for selling random games and the one who bought it gets crap.
BUT 8/10 times i would prefer kinguin over g2a. Same price most of the time or even better. Less scummy AND you get some funds for every purchas. Nothing big but it counts in the end. But that may just be me.

Usually hig voted sellers are the ones to choose, even though that in itself is not necessarily a guarantee either (i know because I had issues 2 occasions with such myself)
Always and I mean ALWAYS use Paypal. Even though they supposedly dont assist with transactions dispute like this, knowing how they more often than not side with the buyer and G2A not willing to get on a limbo over this, chances are if there is an issue and the seller isnt willing to cooperate and you dont want to take the hassle with the site, you can get your cash back fadter
Strictly speaking, the shield might save you from having pounding headaches ever since they made live chat for shield users only apparently (citation needed to this though). other than that its not something you should buy because its literally not something they are allowed to charge you, aka buyers protection.
But basically what miroe said: with higher priced games, its usually better to swallow the bitter pill and buy the shield.
If the key gets revoked or copy, at worst you can try and make a chargeback if it happens in 30 days limit, though I myself have yet to have anything bought from there revoked.
I dont think theres much point in keeping transaction confirmations from there but as always, do what you see fit

Buy with paypal
Chargeback if something bad happens

Don't activate the G2A-Shield.
If a key is wrong, invalid or gets revoked the support will help you even if you don't have it and usually decides the case in your favour.
The the support is slow and the options to report cases feel like they are designed to keep you from using them, but until now I always got my money back when something went wrong and I had cases of wrong games, wrong region versions, duplicate keys and revoked keys.

If possible avoid G2A all together, especially sending their keys to winners here. You will never know nor claim right against them if anything goes with the key or gift they sold to you even after months. There were posts about such users blaming G2A to revoke games whereas it was their responsibility to provide games from reliable sources.
Also if to go with G2A shield, it is both viral and adds hidden or additional fees and can only be truly cancelled by your payment provider.

Bought 1 item there so far, quite expensive one so used shield. Item was fine,no problems with that. Shield is straight up lie and way to overcharge you. Made ticket to paypal and they refunded my money+prevented g2a from ever putting any monthly-like charges on my account.
Overally - Ok,just need to avoid that shield scam.

"do I need a shield and what is it for?" -> It's for milking money from suckers. Been discussed many times before on these forums, what they offer the shield for is stuff they are legally required to do anyway.
"Should I keep some confirmation of transaction?" -> yes. Always. Doesn't go just for G2A, goes for any store. In case of any dispute, this is the evidence you need to prove you acted in good faith
"Are there any additional hidden fees?" -> with G2A ? probably yes, knowing their reputation.

The shield is useless. They're gonna help you anyway, but with the shield, they usually help you faster.
If there's any problem with the game, you can always request a refund, but please remember to take pics or even a video when trying to activate it. Also, stick to the trustworthy sellers.
Hidden fees? Depends on how you're going to pay! Paypal? G2A wallet?

Because you can revoke your payment, you mean? If that's what you mean, then I guess it's true. But you pay an extra tax when sending money through paypal. :/

Yeah, I know that. It's called a tax...or not? o.O Fee, tax, whatever it is. xD But that's what I was saying.

Yeah, you're probably right.
Αλλά fees = τέλη και taxes = φόροι, οπότε αφού τέλη = φόροι, άρα και fees = taxes. Έτσι νόμιζα ότι πήγαινε. xD

I've had many good experiences with G2A, bought like a dozen games there, one of them was a duped key, and support gave me a refund within an hour, even without G2A shield, I do recommend using G2A to catch a deal.
Be warned though, there are several fees, and the price will go up up to a dollar, but sometimes it's still worth it.

Never buy anything that costs more than 20 dollars at full price.
Never buy anything that hasn't been on a 50% sale at least somewhere.
Never buy anything that is popular.
Never buy from anyone under 99% ratings.
Never buy from anyone with 5 digits worth of sent keys or more. They are the one that generate so much revenue for G2A that they can pretty much do anything they want.
If the price is lower than the minimum the game was ever sold for, then don't buy it.
Only buy with PayPal because that way you can at least have a digital receipt even if the game gets revoked half a year later.
Forget Shield.
Choose 0% VAT at checkout. If the company is not paying taxes, why should you send them more money for nothing?

If you dont want to use the shield, try to buy from 5 stars seller
95% of their games are legal

I'm thinking about trying out G2A - is there anything I should know to not get scammed by the sellers or G2A themselves (except not buying there at all)? :P I mean - do I need a shield and what is it for? What if my key won't be ROW despite the seller says it is. Or if the key will get revoked. Should I keep some confirmation of transaction? Are there any additional hidden fees? Etc. Any hints will be appreciated :)
I might not respond to every comment but I'm reading all of them and your help is much appreciated! <3
